HYBRID


Hybrid Software will use Drupa to show various introductions, including My Cloudfl ow hosted Saas prepress solution and MyPackz hosted Saas PDF job editor and layout tool. As with any SaaS solution, there is no hardware purchase and easy scalability.


Other Hybrid announcements include a Meteor driver board for Epson D3000 printheads.


KONICA MINOLTA Konica Minolta will present a Kansei AI analysis tool for how people view print, including inkjet.


LANDA


Landa has announced that Drupa will see the introduction of two new nanographic presses - S11 and S11P - with speeds of 11,200 prints per hour. The presses can be customised, with a choice of 4- or 7-colours, a continuous printing capability, an optional in-line coating unit, and the PrintAI module. A W11 version for fl exible packaging is also to be unveiled.


ONEVISION For the fi rst time, OneVision will use Drupa to demonstrate its Stations digital production tracking solution with barcode scanning and a mobile device app.


With Stations the entire production process can be digitally mapped and monitored. Manual activities in particular - such as sewing, eyeletting, drilling, picking, etc. - can be integrated directly into the workfl ow. Employees can be guided by instructions at the respective work steps. Feedback and status updates from the single stations are displayed centrally and enable tracking of the production status in real time. The solution will be presented live for the fi rst time at Drupa with barcode scanning and a mobile device app. The company will also use Drupa to premiere


its Workspace Production job batching solution. Based on workfl ows and production machines, as well as various job and production parameters, the software intelligently combines print jobs for optimum print and fi nishing kit utilisation.


KONGSBERG Kongsberg has confirmed that its Ultimate digital cutting table, launched at the end of 2023, will have its first public showing at Drupa. With testing completing and orders now on the books, VP David Preskett said the first commercial shipments should take place this summer.


TAKTIFUL SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS A new US-based company called Taktiful Software Solutions has offi cially launched, promising to unveil its fi rst three products for the print embellishment space at Drupa. Founder and CEO Kevin Abergel said the UK wide-format print sector is within its sights following an initial focus on its domestic market in 2024. The fi rst SaaS products being spotlighted at


Drupa, are: Taktify - an AI-powered estimating and pricing software platform that provides the costs of production as well as the estimated market value for embellished print based on variables including job complexity, applications, zip/post codes, industry verticals etc.; Reaktor - an art fi le visualiser that allows users to proof and experiment with different embellishment effects in a virtual 3D environment; Kreator - a generative AI tool automating the creative process to quickly and effi ciently design embellishment fi les for print using Taktiful’s proprietary training platform. Abergel said: “We fully anticipate that Taktify will integrate wide-format equipment for estimation and pricing purposes by 2025. This development is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our offerings and better serve our diverse customer base. Prior to this, we expect that both the Reaktor and Kreator products will be launched to support the wide-format market, as these products are more designed focused and relatively easy to adapt.” He added: “Regarding the availability of our products in the UK, we are currently focusing on launching in the North American market this year, recruiting and billing out our distribution network. In parallel, we are currently working on optimising our pricing database for the European market for the Taktify product. We are targeting to introduce Taktify in the UK by late next year, with Reaktor and Kreator becoming available in advance of this timeline.”

Zund has confi rmed that its new Q-Line cutters with BHS180 board handling system and integrated undercam optical capturing system will be shown for the fi rst time at a trade show at Drupa.
