PHAM NEWS | MAY 2026 Underfloor Heating 23 Home improvements
A full ground floor renovation at a residential property in Rishton, Lancashire, has helped to demonstrate the effectiveness and ease of installation of the Bute-Heatline underfloor heating system from Buteline.
T
he client wished to modernise and improve their semi- detached Lancashire home to increase the
property’s functionality and value. The existing outdoor conservatory was demolished to extend the building’s ground floor area, becoming a new, larger living area with adjoining guest toilet and extra rooms. A kitchen redesign introduced a butler’s pantry and increased storage while creating an open, inviting atmosphere. An underfloor heating system
was suggested to provide further value and comfort. After some research and quotes, the decision was made to invest in the Bute-Heatline UFH system, which utilises flexible, easy-to- install and thermally efficient Buteline pipe. The contractors, MTB Construction, had not used Buteline before, so product training and support via several site visits were made by the Buteline area sales manager, Chris Smith.

The MTB installation team said
that they enjoyed using Buteline and have expressed interest in using Bute-Heatline UFH for their other projects. Mick Beaumont, director at
MTB Construction, comments: “We would highly recommend Buteline, as the service and
support were brilliant and the product is by far the best we have used. We will be quoting Buteline on any projects going forward.” The feedback from the client, Mr
and Mrs Grimshaw, was equally positive: “The services from Chris at Buteline were especially exceptional and he was available
with us and Mick and even attended at the final stage to see we were happy with the whole outcome. We would highly recommend Buteline for the product quality and exceptional service before, during and after service.”
Less waste The Bute-Heatline UFH system uses the same thermally efficient Buteline PB-1 pipe featured in the company’s plumbing system. De-burring is not required and any
UFH pipe leftovers can be used for hot and cold plumbing, thereby reducing waste. It can be used with numerous
floor types, and installed in various ways, including foiled overlay, a self-adhesive clip and rail system, plastic trays or staples. Everything comes designed by Buteline, including the company’s nickel-plated brass manifolds (available in 2 to 12 port sizes), water temperature controls and all project drawings.
