Shower drain for leisure and commercial applications
To help meet practical wetroom drainage challenges, ACO Building Drainage has launched a new shower drain range, bringing together shower drainage channels, advanced gully solutions, and fully confi gurable modular options. The modular system is designed for fl exible, long-run commercial and leisure applications. At the heart of the line-up is the Modular 125 system – confi gurable
channels that can be linked into continuous runs for communal showers or leisure centre changing areas. Custom corner and gully arrangements let specifi ers accommodate complex or irregular layouts. The new range
includes low-build height solutions that comply with BS EN 1253-1 for constrained fl oor heights. ShowerDrain C’s new hydro-formed gullies enable higher fl ows and easier cleaning. Also available in the range are ShowerDrain B and ShowerDrain E which have a gully body capable of 360° rotation for tight or irregular spaces, and tile or vinyl fi nish options to off er compatible solutions for a variety of fl oors. A highlight from the new portfolio is Passino gullies – a single
unit that seals directly into the outlet pipe, reducing time needed for installation. It incorporates a two-piece removable foul-air trap for cleaning, which has an updated design to optimise fl ow and reduce backfl ow risk. The German-made components not only off er more outlet confi gurations but are engineered for durability, with pickle passivated steel channels to support product longevity. ◼

Expanding range of cast iron radiators
The cast iron radiator off ering from Stelrad has been expanded with two new models, bringing the total options to three. In addition to the Hattersley Cast Iron Column, the range now includes the Artisan (pictured) and the Foundry. Alongside the new additions, the warranty across
the cast iron range is increasing from 5 years to 25 years. The delivery process remains the same, with the same 15-working day lead time. This update is meant to give installers and specifi ers
more fl exibility when discussing premium heating solutions with their customers. With this new range, Stelrad now off ers more than 500 radiators in a wide range of sizes, formats
and designs, with heat outputs from 358 BTU at Delta-T 50 for an Artisan 460 x 205mm radiator with three sections, up to 9,554 BTU for a 950 x 998mm Hattersley version with sixteen sections. ◼

Monitoring portal for heat pumps
Targeting heat pump installers, Passiv UK has launched the Passiv Portal, a free web-based monitoring system. It allows installers to remotely track and manage multiple installations from a single dashboard and supports heat pumps from 16 manufacturers, reducing the need to switch between separate brand portals. The platform provides live and historical data on
system performance, including fl ow temperatures, energy use and customer settings. Passiv UK says this can help installers identify issues more quickly, reduce unnecessary site visits and off er remote support to customers. It is also suitable for use by organisations such as social housing
providers, housebuilders, heat pump manufacturers and energy suppliers to monitor performance across larger groups of properties. In addition, Passiv UK
supplies the Passiv Smart Thermostat, designed specifi cally for heat pump systems. It controls fl ow temperature directly rather than operating like a
conventional on-off thermostat. According to Energy Saving Trust verifi cation, it can reduce heating bills by up to 30% and improve heat pump effi ciency by around 17%. It also supports adjusting heating based on time-of-use tariff s and integration with rooftop solar generation. ◼
