PHAM NEWS | JUNE 2026 36 Product News Higher effi ciency and quieter operation
The all-new aroTHERM plus is Vaillant’s latest evolution of its flagship R290 air source heat pump, said to represent a significant leap forward from its predecessor. Improvements to the aroTHERM plus see the new
range take heat pump efficiency levels even further, offering COP figures of up to 5.39. It includes Vaillant’s Sound Safe System, resulting in an improved sound performance from 44 dB(A), suiting it for residential installations. The new heat pump also provides greater install
flexibility, as it features an advanced space function that, when activated, allows installation almost anywhere around the property, breaking free from the fixed space requirements of the previous generation and delivering installation flexibility and convenience for installers. This helps make the most of outdoor space and gives more options for the heat pump to be fitted in a location that works for them. The interface features an intuitive semi-touch
display, giving homeowners and installers premium control over their heating system.
When registered through myREWARDS, Vaillant’s
loyalty platform, the new aroTHERM plus comes with up to a seven-year guarantee when fitted with a Vaillant uniSTOR high recovery cylinder - providing installers and homeowners with peace of mind. ◼

Variable-speed water booster pump
Following the launch of its range of clear water pumps last year, Sanifl o has added another product to the Sanifl o Clear Water portfolio. The new Saniboost Smart is a variable speed, mains boosting pump that delivers high pressure and fl ow rates for mains-fed water systems, providing a solution to restrictive mains water pipes. It is designed to boost water fl ow up to 97 litres/min and pressure up to 5.5 bar in mains fed systems to help overcome issues such as: • Low fl ow and/or pressure
from outlets such as showers, taps, washing machines, toilets • Low fl ow across one or more outlets
when multiple outlets are used at the same time. • Poor water pressure and/or fl ow on higher
fl oors, particularly on third and fourth fl oors. • Inability to extend a property with additional
bathrooms.
Apartment heat pumps for urban networks
Targeting urban decarbonisation projects, Qvantum has introduced the QG water to water heat pump. It is designed for environments where space constraints, acoustic limits and air quality considerations can make heating system design more complex. The solution was created for
developers working with fifth generation ambient heat networks and shared boreholes across new builds and retrofits in cities. With a wide operating envelope, the QG is suitable for a mix of energy sources, from ground arrays and surface water to centralised plant and waste heat from nearby assets. “At Qvantum, we are committed to creating products for the harder
to solve projects – for example the challenge of decarbonising urban homes. We believe that you can find real advantages in planning residential energy systems in the context of the wider urban environment. The QG is a solution that allows you to take advantage of heat that is being wasted
Designed to be used in conjunction with cold
water storage tanks, typical applications for this product are larger dwellings with several fl oors and bathrooms, such as guest houses and light commercial properties. However, it is also suitable for smaller properties if space is available.
As well as off ering very quiet operation, the variable speed Saniboost Smart is simple to install and enables multiple outlets to run at the same
time, ensuring suffi cient pressure for multiple drench head showers working simultaneously. With features such as
brushless technology – which directs more power into pumping
and saving energy - and continuous rating, the pump can operate 24/7 if required. And with dry run protection it automatically turns off when no water is detected. ◼

elsewhere to create a system that benefits the homeowner, the property developer and the wider community,” says Philip Ord, UK CEO.
The QG delivers heating, cooling, and domestic hot water in a single integrated unit, featuring an accumulator tank that acts as a thermal battery with heat storage up to 90°C. With FlexReady functionality and API connectivity, it optimises energy use by operating during periods of low electricity prices or renewable surplus and is ready for flexible energy markets. Domestic hot water is produced instantly via a heat exchanger, eliminating legionella risk and simplifying water quality requirements. The QG uses R290 refrigerant
and is available with either an inbuilt source-side pump for individual or shared ground source systems, or a PIC- valve (QG-C) for ambient loop applications, in 7 and 14kW variants. ◼

Battery system adds to energy fl exibility
Home energy storage specialist Anker SOLIX has launched the XE home battery, an all-in-one residential energy storage unit with a 7kWh capacity and up to 5,000 W AC output. It is designed to help households manage electricity use by storing solar energy and using off -peak grid electricity when prices are lower. The system is built around a 314 Ah energy cell and
off ers up to 10,000 charge cycles, supporting frequent daily cycling between solar charging and grid use. It is designed for use in homes with standard and higher electricity demand, including appliances such as heating systems, electric vehicle charging and heat pumps. Energy management is handled through the Anker
app, which allows users to monitor generation and consumption in real time. The system includes software features that can adjust charging behaviour based on forecast conditions, such as charging in advance of expected low-sunlight days when electricity prices are lower. ◼

Kits simplify boiler maintenance
Baxi has introduced new Care Kits, designed to make preventative boiler maintenance more straightforward for installers. The kits support planned servicing and help maintain boiler performance over time by replacing common high-wear components during routine maintenance. The kits are off ered in two formats: Care Kits and

Care Kits Plus. The standard Care Kits are designed for use during annual servicing and include parts such as a combustion chamber door gasket, fl ue adapter test point and O-ring. These components are typically replaced when the boiler is opened during a service to support continued effi ciency in heating and hot water. Care Kits Plus are for longer-term maintenance
intervals, generally every three to fi ve years depending on system condition and usage. In addition to the standard kit components, they include further replacement parts such as an ignition electrode, expansion vessel valve core and heat exchanger gaskets and screws. The kits are based on service data identifying
commonly replaced parts and are designed to streamline maintenance by grouping these components into a single package for installers. ◼
