Ventilation selection to meet the standards

Zehnder Group UK has introduced a free online ventilation system selector designed to help installers identify suitable ventilation solutions for diff erent types of property. The tool acts as an initial reference point for those navigating the UK’s evolving ventilation requirements and provides guidance based on property characteristics and user priorities. Selecting an eff ective

ventilation system has become more complex as homes are increasingly built or upgraded to be more airtight. Zehnder’s digital ventilation system fi nder aims to simplify early decision making by guiding users through key considerations such as airfl ow needs, heat recovery potential and general comfort expectations, rather than detailed system design. The launch coincides with tighter building standards and a growing

focus on indoor air quality. Recent updates to Part F and Part L of the Building Regulations, along with anticipated changes under the Future Homes Standard, have increased the importance of appropriate ventilation for both regulatory compliance and occupant wellbeing. The ventilation system selector provides tailored recommendations

within minutes and off ers an initial indication of cost, supporting early planning and reducing uncertainty when considering ventilation options. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/57

Bathroom wall panels benefi t from design update

The Nuance bathroom wall panel range from Bushboard has been updated as part of a distributor-focused off ering that combines expanded design options with practical installation considerations. The update adds 11 new wall

panel décors and introduces the Nuance Fusion range. Fusion includes solid colours in matt and gloss fi nishes, alongside four printed designs. These printed panels use smart-panel alignment technology, which allows patterns to line up across diff erent panel

Space-saving units added to Vista range

Bathrooms2GO, the budget- friendly bathroom collection from PJH, has enhanced its Vista modular furniture range with the launch of a new range of space- saving units. The fl oor-standing units with

widths of just 300-350mm have been added, giving installers more fl exibility when working on compact or awkward sized bathroom spaces.

Suitable for cloakrooms,

en-suites or family bathrooms with a small footprint, the new

slim cabinets include a 300mm three-drawer unit, a 300mm one-drawer/one-door unit, and a 350mm two-door/one-drawer tall unit. The units also feature a reduced depth, also 300mm, allowing them to match up with other Vista basin and WC units. With a water resistant lacquered

white gloss fi nish, the sleek new Vista units provide some clever space-saving solutions for busy bathrooms, with practical drawer and cupboard space featuring smooth, soft-close fi ttings. The fl oor-standing units are supplied rigid and include stylish chrome, black or white handles. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/58

Plinth heaters work with lower temperatures

Thanks to recent modifi cations, Myson’s fan convectors are now suitable for low temperature heating systems as well as higher temperature hot water systems. The Kickspace plinth heater, designed to fi t discreetly under kitchen units, can now start operating at a minimum water temperature of around 34°C, down from 43°C. This allows it to provide rapid heat through a high-surface-area heat exchanger. The Kickspace is available in hydronic, electric and low voltage versions, and the Kickspace Duo Eco off ers the option to switch between central heating and electric modes. In addition, Myson’s wall-mounted Hi-Line RC and Lo-Line RC fan convectors also operate from around 32°C, making them suitable for areas such as conservatories or attics where rapid heat output and space-saving installation are needed. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/59

sizes. This provides visual continuity when panels are installed together. The range expansion also

includes slimline vanity countertops designed to sit alongside the existing Nuance laminate vanity surfaces. Manufactured from 12mm compact laminate, the countertops are waterproof and designed for use in bathroom environments. Nuance wall panels remain

waterproof, grout-free and designed for ease of cleaning. The Trend and Designer collections retain their postformed fi nish with tongue and groove joints. All Nuance panel installations continue to be covered by Bushboard’s lifetime guarantee. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/60

Wall-mounted air conditioning system

The airHome 800 HeatForce wall- mounted air conditioning system from Hitachi Cooling & Heating is a new generation product for residential applications. The range is available in single- and multi-split confi gurations and uses R32 refrigerant, with

capacities ranging from 2.5 to 5kW. The system is rated A+++ for

both heating and cooling, with a seasonal energy effi ciency ratio of up to 9.50 and a seasonal coeffi cient of performance of up to 5.20. It is designed to provide heating at outdoor temperatures down to -15°C and continue

operating at temperatures as low as -20°C, supported by Constant Power technology. Air quality functions include

FrostWash technology for cleaning the heat exchanger, an

ioniser, an antivirus fi lter and a Mold Guard function. Noise levels can be as low as 21 dB(A), depending on the model and operating conditions. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/61

To help customers simplify equipment selection for the Quinta Ace range of commercial gas boilers, Baxi has introduced the Cascade Confi gurator tool. It provides consultants, contractors and specifi ers with fl exible and scalable boiler cascade confi gurations for the Quinta Ace range, with options for aluminium or stainless-steel plate heat exchangers, low-loss headers or air dirt separators. The tool delivers instant and

downloadable specifi cations and quotes via email, allowing customers to tailor solutions to specifi c output or cascade requirements for projects of any size. This professional documentation comes ready to use in tenders, design

submissions, or customer proposals as required. After the customer has

answered several quick questions about their project, the Cascade Confi gurator generates a personalised cascade solution with estimated costs. The customer’s local Baxi Technical sales manager will be available to provide expert support and advice. Speaking about the launch,

Shane Suter, commercial business director at Baxi, says: “This new tool promises to greatly streamline the system design process and provide stakeholders with the freedom to tailor this to meet the unique demands of their projects.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/226/62
