Heat pump models for every type of property
A new air source heat pump range has been introduced to the UK market with the launch of the CTC EcoAir C100 series, manufactured by CTC, a Swedish heating equipment manufacturer, and supplied in the UK by Go Geothermal. The CTC EcoAir C100 range
comprises four models: C106, C108, C112 and C116. These units are designed to provide space heating for domestic properties and, in some confi gurations, larger buildings. Output capacities span from just over 7kW to nearly 16kW, with single-phase and three-phase electrical options depending on model. The range includes both smaller units for typical residential use and higher- capacity versions that can be installed individually or in cascaded arrangements. The range delivers impressive heating capacity
without compromising on space and can operate with outdoor temperatures down to -22°C. Despite their powerful output, ranging from 7.05kW to 15.90kW, the units maintain remarkably compact dimensions
from 458 × 914 × 708mm for the C106; to 488 × 1204 × 1384mm for the C116, with packaged weights between 70kg and 165kg. This space-effi cient design makes installation straightforward for professional installers, even in properties with limited external space. Available in a black matt fi nish, the CTC EcoAir C100
range combines aesthetic appeal with functionality, complementing a variety of property styles whilst maintaining a discrete external presence. The range is said to achieve impressive Seasonal
Coeffi cient of Performance (SCOP) fi gures across all climate conditions. ◼

Shower tray that captures the heat
The fi rst UK-manufactured shower tray incorporating energy-saving waste water heat recovery for showers (WWHRS) technology is now available from Mira. The Recoup HeatDeck is a shower tray using Mira’s Flight technology integrated with a high-performance Recoup copper heat exchanger. As the newest product
from WWHRS specialist Recoup Energy Solutions, the Recoup HeatDeck saves up to 40% of the energy per shower by using cold water preheated by the energy from waste shower water to reduce the demand for domestic hot water (DHW). This energy saving device is designed to help lower household bills for the end-user, while reducing
Wall-mounted gas heaters
The Art and Style wall heaters from DRU are balanced fl ue gas wall heaters designed for primary or supplementary heating in a wide range of buildings. They are commonly specifi ed for spaces such as schools, churches, offi ces, community buildings and residential properties where wall-mounted, localised heat is required. These models are compact
units that deliver direct heat into occupied areas and are intended to warm spaces quickly. They are available for use with natural gas or propane, allowing installation in properties both connected to the gas grid and in off -grid locations. The heaters are designed to operate with low ongoing
UFH specialist Devi has unveiled its latest innovation in programmable thermostats – DEVIreg Display Connect. Designed for precise temperature control, easy installation and future-ready connectivity, the new model off ers both Bluetooth and Zigbee connectivity, allowing it to seamlessly connect with existing smart home systems or serve as the foundation for a new one. Developed with sustainability and long-term
maintenance and many models incorporate thermostatic controls for accurate temperature management. The range is off ered
in a selection of fi nishes, allowing the heaters to integrate with diff erent interior environments. ◼

adaptability in mind, the DEVIreg Display Connect features a modular design that enables the thermostat’s upper section to be upgraded or replaced in future, while reusing the existing power supply unit. This approach reduces waste, shortens installation time and supports more sustainable maintenance practices. The unit is compatible with standard 55×55mm frames and includes both R2.5 and R8 front panel options. It also fi ts all standard wall boxes, with adaptors provided for enhanced fl exibility across a wide range of installation environments. ◼

carbon emissions and improving SAP and EPC scores. It also helps house builders, developers, housing associations and homeowners achieve energy reduction goals. Ellis Magin, head of technical
at Recoup Energy Solutions, says: “Our new energy-saving HeatDeck shower tray will integrate with any shower incorporating a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) or Mira Showers’ Heatloop electric shower. As electric showers are not usually compatible with WWHRS, this combination is an industry game changer. It enables straightforward upgrades for new properties and an ideal
retrofi t solution for existing housing stock decarbonisation.” ◼

Waterless seal design prevents problems
A waterless drain seal developed by US-based manufacturer Green Drain is now being made available to UK merchants. The Green Drain product is designed to fi t into existing plumbing systems and replace the water barrier found in traditional P-traps. It uses a fl exible rubber membrane to allow wastewater to pass while blocking sewer gases, odours and pests. Because the seal does not rely on standing water,
it does not evaporate and does not require ongoing maintenance. Flow is maintained at all times without manual intervention or trap priming. Green Drain is a single-component device designed for quick installation. The drain has already been installed in a number
of commercial settings internationally, including airports, logistics facilities and hotels, and is now being positioned for wider use in UK commercial and residential buildings. ◼
