Canon launches new imageFORCE C1700 A4 series
CANON has expanded its colour A4 line-up with the launch of the imageFORCE C1700 series, a compact multifunction range aimed at medium-sized offices and
departmental teams. The new devices deliver faster print and scan performance, a redesigned seven-inch interface, and improved warm-up times, alongside enhanced security features, including machine-learning-driven security setting recommendations, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and automatic firmware recovery.
Canon says the C1700 series has been developed to support
productivity and workflow efficiency for finance, legal, HR and customer-facing teams, with automated document processes and cloud-connected tools built in. A new toner formulation delivers richer colour output, while a welded-frame design improves durability. The devices also integrate with uniFLOW Online for centralised print and scan management. Sustainability updates include a 45 per cent reduction in typical electricity consumption compared with previous models, as well as increased use of recycled plastic and steel.
The C1700 series joins the existing C1333 and C611 ranges in Canon’s colour A4 proposition. Canon has also introduced the A4 i-SENSYS MF851Cdw for small offices, offering faster print and scan speeds, improved wireless connectivity and machine-learning-powered security recommendations in a compact, lightweight design that incorporates more recycled materials than earlier models.

Lenovo modernises virtualisation infrastructure for AI-ready future
LENOVO has introduced new infrastructure solutions to help enterprises modernise virtualised environments and build a foundation ready for AI. The updates span hardware, deployment services and validated modernisation paths across major virtualisation and hybrid cloud platforms.
The launch includes the ThinkAgile VX850 V4, engineered for highly virtualised and in-memory workloads, giving organisations a route to consolidate and refresh critical systems while creating headroom for emerging AI-driven applications. Lenovo has also expanded its Infrastructure Deployment Services into three tiers: Standard Deploy, Premier Deploy, and Premier Deploy Plus, offering clearer guidance for customers based on project complexity and operational needs. Premier Deploy Plus adds extended post-deployment support and a one-year health assessment. Lenovo Express Solutions have been expanded to
provide pre-validated configurations across platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V, Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation, Microsoft Azure Local with ThinkAgile MX V4, Nutanix Compute Cluster, and SUSE Virtualisation. These options are designed to reduce integration work and accelerate time-to-value.
Further updates to Lenovo ThinkSystem Storage, ThinkAgile HCI and Lenovo XClarity management tools aim to strengthen cyber resilience, improve visibility across distributed environments and support both traditional and AI-native workloads.
