Andy McAteer, Challenge Tires Challenge Tires has announced Andy McAteer as the new brand manager for the UK and Ireland. McAteer will be supporting UK distributor Upgrade in the promotion of Challenge Tires through their existing dealer network as well as looking for any new potential opportunities and customers in the UK. He will also be developing OEM relationships for UK bike and frame manufacturers, along with identifying athletes and teams who would be a good fit for the Challenge brand. Andy will also be attending trade
shows and cycling events with an in-depth knowledge of the Challenge brand and product line, bringing over 16 years of experience in the cycle trade, having worked for Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative, Ribble Cycles, and

Alice Clews-Smith, Lyon Equipment Lyon Equipment has appointed Alice Clews-Smith to the role of Ortlieb brand development manager, tasked with supporting the continued growth of the industry-leading cycle brand Ortlieb. Lyon Equipment is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and the distribution relationship between Lyon and Ortlieb dates back over three decades, making Lyon Ortlieb’s longest- standing distribution partner. Clews-Smith joins with a wealth of
experience in the bike industry having worked with leading brands. She is also the co-founder of Steezy collective, an inclusive cycling collective for all women, all non-binary and all trans
riders. As part of her role within the collective, she has worked with Rapha to empower the underrepresented cycling community.
