What made you both want to make The Hundred Line your next project, respectively? Kodaka: I’m good with “school stories” and Uchikoshi is good with “branching stories”. “Extreme and desperate situations”, we’re both good at. The Hundred Line combines all of those things. When I came up with the idea, I thought I had no choice but to do it. I didn’t want to compromise on this idea, so I decided to pay the money myself and make it until I was satisfied with the content. Uchikoshi: Originally, the purpose of establishing our company, TooKyo Games, was to create a game with an original IP. However, in order to do so, we needed to accumulate military funds and prepare for various battles. Our general, Kodaka, had drawn up a detailed strategy to realize this, and seemed to be waiting for the right opportunity. After some days had passed... “The time for the decisive battle has come!” the general cried out, and I, as his vassal, simply donned armor, picked up a spear, and mounted a horse.
