The London
Chocolate Forum is an invitation-only conference and event for the international chocolate
manufacturing community. It has now become a highly sought after event, with over 300 delegates attending from some of the world’s leading and up-and-coming chocolate manufacturers. Despite the slight break due to the pandemic, the event is back and it’s better than ever, as we embrace the opportunity to network in-person again and hear from many major companies adding to the line-up of insightful talks throughout the day. Conference Centre, brings together the contemporary with the uniquely historic in bright, innovative event spaces and meeting rooms located in the heart of the City of London’s Square Mile. Previously, the event has been attended by Mars, Nestlé,
Waitrose, Mondelez, Ferrero, Lindt, Thorntons, Tesco Stores, Green and Blacks, Hotel Chocolat, Valor, Marks and Spencer plc, Ritter Sport and many other leading players in the global chocolate industry. In previous years, 95% of London Chocolate Forum delegates said they made useful contacts that they will be following up, and 72% of those surveyed said it was “the best event in the chocolate industry,’ with 73% returning. Barry Callebaut, sponsors of the 2016 event along with other key sponsors: Cargill and Kukaxoco, told Kennedy’s that it was one of the only events in its kind that they support. Bas Smit, now Global Vice President Marketing at Barry Callebaut Group, had said: “The right people come together, and the right diverse topics are in the agenda.” Doug Rowe, of Nookie bar in the UK added: “Once again, I really enjoyed the event. It was informative, on topic and a great opportunity to meet some new contacts in the industry.”

The historic Roman London Wall runs through the venue providing a memorable backdrop to the Forum’s exhibition space. The exhibition can range from packaging systems, chocolate production and processes to ingredient innovation and market insight. The exhibition received similar acclaim with encouraging feedback from the survey. A total of 61% of delegates purchasing plans were infl uenced by the LCF chocolate industry supplier’s exhibition, with over 81% of exhibitors having made contacts to follow up with at the 2016 event.
