opportunity to act across the cocoa sector, connecting relevant stakeholders to drive change. Yet the foundation of our efforts – putting farmers, communities and farmer organisations first – is unwavering. By creating lasting benefits for cocoa farmers, their families and communities, they are empowered to own their futures and achieve business success,” she explains. Cargill say they have five key areas: farmer livelihoods, community wellbeing, protecting our planet, building consumer confidence and transforming the cocoa sector together. “Cocoa farmers and their communities are at the centre of our work because we believe creating lasting benefits for them goes hand- in-hand with the business success of all actors in the cocoa value chain.
