If there was any doubt about the health of the iGaming industry, this year’s iGB Live put it fi rmly to bed.
Now in its second year at ExCeL London, the event has well and truly found its feet. The venue once again provided the perfect backdrop for this popular industry gathering, with busy aisles, bustling stands and a diary full of meetings that, for many, began long before the doors opened. Everywhere you looked there were familiar faces reconnecting, new partnerships taking shape and plenty of business being done. It’s a timely reminder that, for all the advances in technology, ours remains a people business.
What struck me most wasn’t just the quality of the event, but the confi dence running through it. Regulation, compliance and changing market dynamics continue to dominate many conversations, but there was a tangible sense of optimism. Developers showcased impressive new content, suppliers unveiled the latest technology, operators discussed expansion plans, and affi liates were busy exploring fresh opportunities. AI, personalisation and player engagement featured heavily, but so too did responsible gambling and sustainable growth. It was encouraging to see innovation and responsibility sharing equal billing.
That same sense of momentum runs throughout this issue.
We take a closer look at the ever-evolving online slots sector, where developers continue to push creative boundaries with innovative mechanics, immersive storytelling and engaging bonus features. As competition intensifi es, delivering memorable player experiences has never been more important.
Elsewhere, we turn our attention to Africa, where the iGaming industry continues to gather pace. With improving digital infrastructure, increasing smartphone penetration and evolving regulatory frameworks, the continent presents exciting opportunities for developers, operators and affi liates prepared to understand the nuances of its diverse markets.
If iGB Live demonstrated anything, it’s that this industry continues to evolve at an impressive pace. Challenges undoubtedly remain, but so does the appetite for innovation, collaboration and growth.
