ERT Awards 2022 winners revealed! 4

The winners of this year’s ERT Awards were announced at the prestigious ceremony on 27 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, celebrating the best and brightest from across the electrical retail sector. The day also featured the return of the Turning

Point Live! Conference, with an impressive line-up of guest speakers, including leading independent electrical retailers and industry experts. Kent-based Potters Home Digital picked up the coveted Turning Point Award; Best Independent Domestic

Appliances Retailer – Large was

awarded to NE Appliances, while Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Small, went to Abbey Appliances. In the two new retailer categories, Best Independent Kitchen Retailer Showroom was awarded to Martins of Hawkhurst, while Borshch won the title of Best Independent Electrical Retailer Shopfront. In the category for Best Independent Consumer

Electronics Retailer – Small, Moss of Bath picked up the trophy. The trophy for the Sales Excellence Award this year went to Heidi Grover from Avensys; the judges were impressed with Heidi’s passion for kitchen design and how she’s helped the business rapidly increase turnover with new kitchen sales.

Meanwhile, on the supplier side, Faye Jukes

from RKW received this year’s Sales Representative Award, and Best Supplier Customer Service went to Samsung. The Training Provider Award was picked up by Miele GB – for the second year in a row!

The afternoon – which included a drinks

reception and formal lunch – was hosted by comedian and author, Dominic Holland. Editor of ERT magazine, Jack Cheeseman, said:

“Huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners! And thank you to everyone that took the time to enter the ERT Awards during this very busy year. “During these quite challenging times, it’s never been

more important for retailers to emphasise the value and the service they can offer and I think for many it’s been working well, as sales have continued to be strong. “But manufacturers and retailers also must work closely together to provide genuinely useful products, plus convenience at every step of the shopper’s journey to ensure they return to spend again in the future. “And that is what the ERT Awards is all about, celebrating some of

the most forward-thinking

businesses in our sector and recognising the best consumer electronics and home appliance products out there too.

“A huge thank you to our partner sponsors and congratulations once again to all of this year’s finalists, highly commended and of course the winners!”
