One shining example: Chef@Home Series 6 – the oven that becomes a true personal assistant! Thanks to the latest AI and connection with the
hOn App, the Preci Taste function recognises the food inside the oven and sets the most suitable cooking parameters and controls the process until it is completed.
The latest version presented at IFA also benefits from a full touch screen interactive door that allows the user to follow the preparation of dishes, but to also access multimedia content… like watching an entire movie… on the oven door!
Candy
Within the theme of ‘Simplify your Day’, Candy presented some really novel solutions at the show to allow consumers to organise their kitchen from their smartphone.
First up, there was RapidO, “the quickest and most spacious dishwasher on the market,” on-stand experts said, also with its Wash&Dry 35’ programme (a 35-minute cycle) and a host of smart programmes for easier day-to-day use. Such as the Snap&Wash function – just take a picture of the dishwasher rack to get advice on appropriate loading.
Also in laundry was the limited edition new Aquamatic, a cute colourful little machine (one of the littlest on the market) coming in four pastel tones (pictured above). “Like a toy, but real”, it said on the stand! It was the winner of the creative contest at the recent Milan Design Week 2022.
Then there was Fresco – the flexible and connected refrigerator with Inventory Assistant to help users
avoid potential waste and manage remotely a food inventory, including expiry dates. Also, with no less than 100 different layouts and its new multi-door Cube, the appliance offers serious functional capacity. Lastly, Snap&Cook was introduced in cooking. Framing selected ingredients using the hOn app camera will provide a number of suggested recipes along with the best cooking mode to use.

Talking of big touch displays, the Cube 90 Series 9 refrigerator (left) also has one built into the door; it can also display external content and connect to and control any Haier appliance in the home. In addition, the Cube 90 Series 7 Pro and FD 90 Series 7 Pro are Haier’s offerings in the multidoor market. Among the countless hOn app functions is Proactive Temperature, which cleverly adapts to users’ habits by geolocalising the location to make sure the internal temperature is spot on for when
they return from the food shop. In Haier
laundry, Washpass – “a washing experience” – was unveiled. Only available in Italy – but a sign of things to come perhaps – it’s basically a subscription service to certain wash cycles using four purpose-created ingredients on one of the brand’s ultra-connected machines. AI selects the most suitable program, the mix and doses of detergents and re-orders components that are running low.
