Cook Like a Pro Home Appliances
“Home cooking is a lifestyle. It’s about the joy of hosting, the health and cost benefits of cooking from scratch, and the love of culinary exploration. Miele technology is at the heart of this movement, empowering consumers to create restaurant-quality dishes at home.” Mr Hopper recommends that retailers offer consumers the experience of using a Miele appliance in store to let customers “feel the quality and see the innovation”. If this isn’t possible, Miele offers pre-

purchase courses at its experience centres to both consumers and retailers. Mr Hopper adds: “Training is key, and we’re invested in equipping our retail partners with the knowledge they need to succeed.”

CDA also has an induction hob with settings that range from simmer to just keeping the pot warm, offering your consumers the chance to save energy where possible. Elsewhere, Michael Forbes, Product Specialist at AEG, expects the consumer trend of looking for energy efficient appliances will continue – 88 per cent of consumers want brands to help them be more eco-friendly. He also explains that the trend towards multi- functional space and appliances has grown in recent years, which the company anticipated when designing its AEG 8000 Induction Extractor Hob (left). This hosts features such as; Double Bridge which means your consumers can combine two cooking zones on both sides of the hob to give uniform heat distribution – this means the appliance is more efficient. Mr Forbes says: “Our AEG 9000 SteamPro Oven also ensures consumers can get restaurant-quality results, by using the SousVide feature.”
Michael White, Channel Manager – Electrical Retail Independents at Electrolux Group, adds: “We want to make sure that all our independent retailers are supported, so we have a dedicated retailer focused training manager to work with independent retailers and the staff.
“By engaging customers you can learn about what they enjoy cooking, and identify products that are suited to them, ensuring the buying experience is the best it can be.”
