“We also have two products launching which

are especially great for families – the Design Ice Cream Maker (62900) and the Design Ice Shaver (62905), which lets users prepare ice for Slushy drinks and also processes frozen fruit, juice, coffee and yoghurt.”

‘Coffee is cool’ Elsewhere, Gareth Till, Bodum Country Manager for the UK, says: “We have a number of different gift sets that we sell all year round that are based on our best-sellers. So combining non-electric coffee makers with electric grinders and glass cups for instance. Coffee is a cool category that’s so popular and on trend at the moment!

Although Bodum has been known historically

for coffee and tea products, in recent years the company has also moved into other SDA categories – like air fryers, toasters and kettles. “As well as gift giving, people love to host over the festive period and therefore like to invest in their own homes,” Mr Till goes on. “However, there is a slight level of uncertainty when it comes to consumer spending this year; people want true value and something suitable for all budgets.”

“A great example is our new Bristol range.

We have created this kettle in a distinctive British shape, reminiscent of a stove-top kettle, available in both Sage and Putty colours. Complementing this is the Four-Slice Toaster.” The demand for stylish and functional kitchen essentials is expected to soar this year. Haden’s products are known for their timeless designs which perfectly align with the growing trends of aesthetics and efficiency within the kitchen. “The pre-Christmas rush is always an exciting time for us as demand always peaks,” Mr Bagga goes on. “Despite economic considerations, we believe the market will thrive this season as consumers are seeking value without comprising on quality – and our products strike the perfect balance.” Also offering matching kettle and toaster combos, Smeg recently launched its Emerald Green matte finish range. With its famous blend of 50s style and contemporary finishes, this modern hue boasts a soft touch texture, plus a scratch-resistant surface and an anti- fingerprint effect – ideal for mucky little hands in the kitchen!

Bodum’s Bistro electric coffee grinder As well as being coffee connoisseurs, we

are also a nation of tea drinkers! So kettles are top of Santa’s list – whether for opening on Christmas morning, or for an early present to keep guests hydrated. “At Haden, our products have become a holiday gifting staple,” comments Creative Director, Sachin Bagga. “While many customers love treating themselves, our products are also a popular choice for stylish and practical gifts. We offer bundle deals on our kettles and toasters which will be very popular this Christmas.

A sparkling Christmas Then again, for those that prefer an appliance that offers multiple functions, Strix might have the answer. The LAICA Dual Flo breakfast set (right) includes the 2-in-1 Dual Flo kettle; users can boil and dispense 150-250ml of water in just 45 seconds for a quick cup of tea, or up to 1.5 litres in the whole kettle. In addition, this is now available as a set with the matching white Dual Flo two-slice toaster!

Also in the LAICA range, launched earlier this year, its instant sparkling water maker – available in either black and copper or off- white and copper; for when guests prefer a thirst-quenching cold drink, this comes with a glass bottle which can be stored in the fridge. Annaliese Curtis, Head of Marketing Activation at Strix Group, explains to ERT that when it comes to showcasing products

like these in a retail environment, an attractive display and a well-executed demo can help maximise conversions so that browsers become customers.

“Allowing shoppers to interact with the

products themselves is even better,” she says. “Consider if there is room to have a display sample on shelf or even a dedicated demo area where shoppers can try a freshly-brewed coffee or a refreshing glass of sparkling water.” Of course, Christmas party season wouldn’t be complete without a little festive beverage! Statesman offers its SKBD 5-Litre Chilled Draught Beer Dispenser; with its superior water-cooling system, two degrees Celsius being its lowest temperature, users can keep themselves and their guests liquored up all evening! It’s compatible with universal five-litre beer, prosecco or wine kegs! >>
