Jack Roper, Product Manager of Ventilation at BSH Home Appliances, explains: “Appliances with low noise levels yet high performance are becoming increasingly popular. Cooker hoods from BSH are developed to use brushless motor technology to reduce excess noise. This allows our cooker hoods to produce the extraction performance that consumers need, but also at the noise levels that they want, giving them the best of both worlds.” Caple’s Jo Underhay, Southern Regional

Training Manager, gave her thoughts on recent trends in consumer choices. She says: “In recent years, kitchen and cooking trends in the home have evolved significantly. The modern kitchen has embraced a sleek and streamlined aesthetic, characterised by clean lines and minimalist design. “This trend is not only visually appealing but also emphasises functionality and efficiency. It also has a range of smart ovens, these come with features including; WiFi control, the inclusion of a rotisserie and meat probe in its ovens like the C2902 (above right), takes your consumers cooking experience to the next level. Caple Air Fry trays come in two convenient sizes, 45cm or 50cm. No more cluttering up your worktops with additional equipment; these trays neatly fit into the ovens. Its steam/microwave combi ovens (pictured above) bring together the benefits of both steam cooking and microwave technology. This not only ensures efficient cooking but also promotes healthier meal preparation. Ms Underhay recommends retailers to accessorise their appliances and “dressing” the ovens to highlight their functionality. She says: “Simple in-store demonstrations can bring the features of the appliances to life, allowing customers to visualise how the products can enhance their cooking experience. “We frequently collaborate with our

retail partners to host events and product demonstrations, including Experience Days and in-store demonstrations as needed. These initiatives are important as they provide a platform for our partners to gain hands-on experience with our appliances.”

Rangemaster commissioned a survey to determine how eating habits changed in the two years post-pandemic. The reality is that 25 per cent more people are cooking or baking at home compared to before the first lockdown, and 43 per cent are making healthier eating choices now.
