Multi-use is a priority
for floorcare in 2024 The floorcare market in 2024 is seeing an increase in multi-purpose appliances, explains Ewbank’s Product and Brand Manager, Aimee Brooks, highlighting how Ewbank has incorporated this into its products.
W ith over 140 years of
experience in cleaning homes, Ewbank has developed and expanded their range from the simple
yet effective carpet sweeper, to a portfolio of floorcare products across a range of categories including vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, pressure washers, and floor cleaners. Ewbank’s trend focus for 2024 begins with appealing to consumers’ need for multi-use products; tackling multiple pain points in one purchase to ensure value for money. The company explains that users needn’t worry about compromising on quality either, as Ewbank’s range is backed up by a two-year guarantee, as well as spare parts available for purchase to lengthen the life of the product. Aimee Brooks, Product and Brand Manager, says: “Ease-of-use will continue to be a big focus over the next couple of years, as consumers seek to streamline their lives and make everyday tasks as simple and efficient as possible.”
The most recent addition to Ewbank’s collection includes a reimagining of its signature sweeper, the MULTISWEEP 20 Litre Push Sweeper. Suitable for a wide range of surfaces including carpets, lawns, decking, artificial grass, play areas, warehouses, driveways, and more, this sweeper is the perfect year-round cleaning companion. Its manual push-along operation means
there’s no need for cables or a power source, ensuring optimum energy-efficiency. Also joining its range is its HYDROC2 Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. The HYDROC2’s 25cm-wide path means your consumers can cover a large area of carpet at once for a deeper clean, whilst the detachable handheld brush tool is perfect for quickly spot cleaning dirt and spills on stairs, rugs, upholstery, and even car interiors. Its dual spin brush bar provides a more
efficient and thorough clean, and it is easily manoeuvrable from room to room thanks to its lightweight design, seven-metre-long cable, and carry handle.
Looking ahead into Summer 2024 and beyond, Ewbank says it is keeping future trends in mind whilst continuing to develop its range. Cordless options are continuing to be important with consumers, as people look to make their lives as hassle-free as possible. Charging docks for cordless products are also at the forefront, with self-functioning options like automatic dust container emptying being considered, to keep the cleaning process even easier for users.
As technology becomes a bigger focus in the UK market, Ewbank is also looking to continue to evolve its range, for example robotic vacuum cleaners that can be controlled via an app or smart speaker are being considered. Other innovations being investigated include wet and dry vacuums that can clean themselves and switch modes via Wi-Fi control. Focusing on trends and keeping consumer needs in mind has always been at the forefront of what Ewbank does, enabling the brand to stay relevant to consumers for over 140 years.
