It’s been two years since Paul Tyler joined CIH/ Euronics as its Chief Executive, and the buying group has seen some significant changes in that time. But one thing that has remained is its collective strength in the industry. “The market is tough at the moment,” Mr Tyler tells ERT, “but Euronics is a name that people recognise and I believe the opportunities for our members are incredible.”

There are a number of stores that form part of the group that have been trading for nearly a century, and the oldest can trace its origins back to 1775! In 1996, CIH adopted the Euronics brand. Membership has grown rapidly over the years and today CIH is supported by 11 groups looking after the interests of around 450 members with 620 stores across the country.


In January 2022, Paul Tyler (pictured above)


took over as Chief Executive Officer of CIH. He had previously been at BSH Home Appliances for 11 years occupying various positions; prior to this he worked for Miele for 21 years, leaving as Sales Director in 2010.
