Intralox’s Jasper Joosten: Yes, very good. Thank you, Alex. Thank you for coming. We’re celebrating the new launch of
this facility, but that’s also in line with some restructuring and a look ahead at some exciting times at Intralox. So yes, it’s a good time to chat after the launch party. So perhaps that’s a good place to start.
AF: So how was the launch party yesterday afternoon?
JJ: Yes, it was very good because it was not only the official opening of the building for all the employees, but it was also a milestone of having arrived at this point, being able to open the facilities here in Amsterdam. It was a great moment to have all the team together with a big delegation from the US. It was a successful evening and a good moment to look ahead. Yesterday was for internal staff, so we

During this article we discuss Intralox’s global expansion, which includes a relocation of its European headquarters to a larger facility in Amsterdam, to accommodate current and future growth.
We also speak about the current state of play in the global container business, and Jasper’s views on the current trends we expect to see in the industry.

will have an event with customers next year (2024). But for sure yesterday was a good occasion to meet with the team. It’s also fair to say a lot of us are working remotely. And then to come here and be able to meet each other was a useful exercise.
AF:What are your overall impressions of the wonderful world of the can making industry?
JJ: I come from 10 years working in the food processing sector and then in packaging automation. So, I’ve always been on the industrial side. But can making is a very specific
world. I must say you can see that people have been in the industry for a long time. You also see some of the people coming to the end of their careers. But you can feel that people who have been in this industry for a long time welcome the newcomers!
AF: Could you perhaps provide a bit of an overview of the vision for Intralox moving forward and some of the key attributes that we can see from this fantastic new facility?
JJ: In this new facility, which is very close to Schiphol ( Amsterdam airport) as we were before, but the production capacity has tripled. In this facility, there are all the
