4. Gatic SlotDrain chosen for busy yard

Peri LTD, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of formwork and scaffolding, had Gatic CastSlot installed at its multi-purpose service yard, where heavy lorries and vehicles come and go constantly. The system was chosen for its great hydraulic capacity as the project required a safe solution that could bear the load of up to 40 tonnes. Where continuous, slow turning traffic is a major consideration, Gatic CastSlot, from the Gatic SlotDrain range, ensures a reliable water management system. CastSlot is available with an optional tread safe addition, ensuring safety under regular footfall. However, as the installation area will be frequented by mainly large vehicles, CastSlot non-treadsafe was installed.

3. Fernox speeds up testing The new Fernox Express Inhibitor Test makes testing central heating systems for the correct concentration of inhibitor quicker and easier than ever, with a pass or fail result shown in just 10 seconds. The test is also compatible with the Fernox Water Test App, so results are easy to log and manage – even across multiple jobs.

For fast results, installers simply dip the test strip provided into the system water and within just 10 seconds, it will change colour. By comparing the test strip to the colour chart label on the bottle, installers can assess whether the system water includes the correct concentration of inhibitor. November 2020

6. Bond It accelerates

Bond It’s Seal It Accelerator is a gel-like additive, that once mixed with the company’s Seal It Liquid Membrane, accelerates the curing process. This allows for installations to be carried out at temperatures below 5oC and permits work to be performed down to an impressive minus 20oC. The gel is simply added into the membrane and mixed using a heavy duty mixing paddle on a slow speed, prior to roof application. Once incorporated, the gel helps to facilitate full cure at normal speed, on average 1mm per 24hrs, when the outside temperature is below 5oC. Supplied in 1L bottles for easy dosing, the additive requires no special applicators. This is a simple system in every way that is a cost effective alternative to traditional GRP, PU and bitumen based roof coverings.
