Bradfords scores Somerset Country Cricket partnership

Bradfords Building Supplies has announced a new one-year agreement with Somerset County Cricket Club to become the club’s Official Pathway Partner. The Somerset County Cricket Club Pathway gives talented young cricketers from across the region the opportunity to further develop their potential within an elite environment and aids their development across a variety of disciplines, both on and off the field. As part of the sponsorship agreement, the Bradfords logo will appear on Player Pathway playing shirts, with further exposure including both ground and live stream advertising. SCCC commercial director, Caroline Herbert said: “Bradfords will be playing a genuine role in helping to produce the next Jack Leach, Craig Overton, Tom Banton or Lewis Gregory, all of whom are Academy Graduates who have now established themselves as international cricketers.”

“Supporting the local communities where we operate is a core focus for us, so the opportunity to partner with an organisation like this is a great fit,” said David Young, CEO of Bradfords Building Supplies.

Aico join Captain Tom 100 Challenge

Aico got involved with the national Captain Tom 100 Challenge, in aid of local charity The Movement Centre. In April 2020, Captain Tom Moore raised more than £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 appeal by completing 100 laps of his garden. In order to honour him on what would have been his 101st birthday, the Captain Tom Foundation is encouraging everyone to get involved with the Captain Tom 100 Challenge and fundraise for excellent causes. Aico colleagues’ challenges included a 100-minute danceathon, running 100km, 100 press-ups, a 100-metre space-hopper sprint and eating 100 Yorkshire puddings!

Aico’s Community Liaison Jane Pritchard said: “We had already agreed to support The Movement Centre’s ’Sponsor a Child’ campaign this year and this was an ideal opportunity to get some fundraising underway. Our colleagues have been coming up with some weird and wonderful ideas for the Sir Captain Tom 100 challenge so far. We are really pleased that every colleague will be getting involved in some sort of challenge and contributing towards our fundraising goal.”
