CCF manages new delivery system

Insulation and interior building products distributor, CCF, part of the Travis Perkins group, has launched a new. more responsive, delivery management system. The new system is designed to

offer a and improved way for cus- tomers to receive delivery updates from CCF. All the customer has to do is provide the desired delivery date, site information, and a con- tact number – CCF will then take care of the rest.

On the day of delivery, on- site customers will receive a text message with a two-hour time slot and a portal link showing full details of the products that will be arriving. When the delivery is on its way, site contacts will then be able to see exactly where the CCF driver is via a live tracking system. A further text notification is sent to the team twenty minutes before arrival.

Robert Price is right for Builders Bitz

Family-owned independent Welsh builders’ merchants, Robert Price, has bought Aberdare-based building and roofing suppliers, Builders’ Bitz.

Elliotts signs up in style

Independent builders merchant Elliotts has installed new signage at its Christchurch branch and it is longer and bigger than any the company has done before. At 52 metres, the sign that runs

around the front and side of the branch is the longest the family- run merchant has ever installed and the entrance sign is 5m high, almost as tall as an adult giraffe and 1m taller than the company’s usual signs. The company says:

“For every site we want to show the Elliotts brand in the best way we can, but each branch has got slightly different needs for signage. For Christchurch, we wanted visibility from the end of their road on the estate, but also from the main road.”

SIG welcomes products regulator

The new national construction products regulator is an opportunity to reset the bar on product compliance and strengthen the message that products must be fit for purpose’. government’s Office for Product Safety and Standards. Williamson says that while the industry as a whole works hard to ensure compliance, it is reassuring that this new regulator will be on hand and keeping a watchful eye on products in the marketplace. “Any measure that will help to maintain and improve compliance should be strongly supported,” he says.

increased stock range availability. Additionally, Robert Price cus- tomers will also benefit from the acquisition, with the new branch increasing coverage in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Robert Price marketing director

at Molly Pike says: “This is an exciting time of growth for both businesses.

“Builders’ Bitz have an excellent

reputation for service in the local community, and Robert Price is delighted to welcome the branch and its team into the group. “Not only will it further expand our existing Robert Price branch reach and lorry fleet, but it will also provide Builders’ Bitz with the opportunity for further growth and development.”
