An increased appreciation for the home and garden environment, thanks to the three UK lockdowns has encouraged landscaping suppliers to gear up to meet the growing demand as BMJ finds out.
ew in the natural stone collection from paving supplier Global Stone is the range of natural stone cladding, available in four colours in Sandstone and Slate. The company says it is ideal for finishing those outside areas such as seating areas, outside kitchens and fireplaces and pits.
“We have added a new range to our contemporary Artisan Collection – Tranquil, which features large format single sized shotblasted sandstone paving with matching setts and copings,” says marketing director Sara Cullis. It is available in two muted and elegant on-trend shades of cream and grey. “We are also pleased to have introduced a range of Decorative Stones into our collection including cobbles and stones in an attractive choice of colours, finishes and sizes. These are versatile products that offer a low maintenance final “touches” solution,” she adds.
This year Global Stone has refined and expanded the porcelain collection again, including three new ranges and extending several of the existing ranges. The Grande range is big - available in a supersized format, making it ideal for both traditional or contemporary settings and featuring a contrasting decorative piece. Cullis says these pieces make a real statement with a ‘wow’ factor.
Driving demand
“Also new for this year is a 3cm Driveways range, available in three beautiful colours. The extra thick product is deliberately textured to provide reliable grip and performance on the drive even in the toughest condition. Beauty and strength, a winning combination,” she says. Global Stone holds an average stock holding of circa £5m, located across four distribution sites across the UK. Cullis says: ”As a manufacturer and supplier we have a greater control over our supply chain which gives us an advantage in continuity of supply to meet customer demand.
