Partel has developed ECHOFOIL EXO, a high- performance breather membrane designed specifically for timber frame construction. This reflective foil membrane has one of the lowest emissivity values in the market of just ≤ 0.04 and a cavity R-Value of 0.78 m2K/W. This means it is the ideal solution to help architects and housebuilders achieve a desired low U-value. It is also highly breathable with an Sd value of 0.08m.
Windtight and waterproof, ECHOFOIL EXO is ideally suited to offsite timber frame construction where it can be factory installed to create roof and wall solutions. Available in 2.7 metre and 3-metre-wide rolls, the lacquer coating of this membrane provides protection against rust caused by airborne sea salts in coastal areas.

Methven has introduced an interactive online water calculator, which enables users to select the shower head they wish to use and tailor calculations according to household water usage. The recommended shower heads are optimised to operate at just eight litres per minute whilst providing customers with an invigorating shower that doesn’t compromise on performance, compared to shower heads that use an unrestricted 15 litres per minute. By using the calculator, Methven aims to help customers benefit from reduced water and energy use, and in turn, lower household energy and water bills by over £250 a year. Whilst the water saving calculator can be used by homeowners to help reduce their water usage, installers, retailers, and specifiers can also benefit from the tool by using it to recommend the best shower heads to customers who desire energy and water efficient showering solutions. The water saving calculator is now available to use on Methven’s website.

Specifically for doors with fixed handles such as pull handles, the Fullex Key Wind lock uses a key or thumb turn to engage and retract the bolts and latch.
Once the door is closed, the latch can’t be operated without the key. To operate the lock, it takes half a turn to withdraw the bolts, is then returned to original position, then turned again to retract the latch.
In addition, UAP has developed a matching escutcheon, providing the option of a full, cost-effective system, including a pull handle, Key Wind Lock, high security escutcheon and 1 Star cylinder.
