James Burrell opens 11th branch


Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen cut the ribbon at James Burrell’s opening ceremony for its brand-new branch following a £4.5m investment. The purpose-built four-acre site was the company’s 11th branch and its second in the Teesside area. The Billingham branch works alongside the already existing branch in Stockton, bringing a fleet of 11 vehicles and a stock-value of an estimated £2.25million to the trade in the region.


MP’s Jewson visit highlights merchants’ home energy role David Simmonds, MP for Ruislip, Northwood & Pinner, visited Jewson Ruislip to see first- hand the role the building materials industry can play in improving energy efficiency. Jewson managing director, Nadine Matthews hosted the event, organised by the Builders Merchants Federation, with regional director Kris Winters and Ruislip branch manager Dean Colwill. NMBS hosts first Dinner Dance post-pandemic


More than 1,050 independent builders’ merchants and suppliers donned black tie and ballgowns to celebrate the first NMBS Dinner Dance since the pandemic. The event, which took place on October 22, featured a night of entertainment and networking at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
