AND FINALLY
Thompson and Parkes Stourport help school woodwork project A local school’s woodworking project has benefitted from a donation of tools and accessories from Stourport
business Thompson & Parkes.
Realising that some of their woodworking equipment was reaching the end of its life, Oak Class from Astley C.E. Primary School wrote letters to Thompson & Parkes in Stourport asking if they could donate tools for their woodworking project.
Thompson & Parkes general manager Gary Watts said: “The children sent us several beautifully written letters explaining exactly what they wanted to achieve, what tools they needed to do it with and why Thompson & Parkes support was so important in helping make their DT and Forest School development project a reality. “As a local business, we’re always keen to support the community when we can and delighted to have been able to say yes and support Astley C.E. Primary’s Forest School project.”
