BORDER ANNOUNCES 620 IMPROVEMENTS IN ITS LATEST COUNTERACT SOFTWARE UPDATE
Border has started issuing the latest CounterAct updates (2-8B) to all its customers. The release of 2-8B is a major upgrade with over 620 changes and improvements to the CounterAct software. All Border customers receive system updates as part of their support contract.
Highlights of the issue include the ability to mass-release delivery notes, an option to use thermal printers to print account collection and return notes, and to cash receipts.
Border has also added improvements to the way electronic signature capture pads
operate for account collected sales. Other enhancements include the ability to determine how effective a supplier is by using information data provided by CounterAct which shows supplier orders that have been, for example, delivered on time, in full or not arrived. Finally, Border has enhanced the way
CounterAct deals with specials. Users can now set a default analysis group for specials from a supplier as well as specify the default margin that you should be making on new special products from a particular supplier.
DRAPER TOOLS TO SUPPLY MAM’S NEW TRADERCAT CATALOGUE
Draper Tools has committed to providing data to MAM Software’s new Tradercat catalogue.
The product catalogue, which is compatible with MAM’s Trader software, provides support for tools, equipment, car care, consumables and accessories. Draper Tools is the latest supplier
to confirm it will be supplying the catalogue with its extentsive range of products.
Users will be able to use the catalogue to search, filter and compare products from individual brands before adding them to a transaction. Stock and pricing information is immediately
available, enabling counter staff
to help their customers make better informed buying decisions. They will be able to upload
photographs and specifications to the system, ensuring customers
Full issue notes will be sent to all users when they receive the upgrade. Border will also be producing YouTube videos to support and highlight the most useful enhancements and to help users get the most from their investment in CounterAct. BMJ
always have access to the latest information. Products can be made available to every Tradercat user, or the company can choose which customers and trade groups will be able to see its data.
