13. VitrA Extends Sento Furniture VitrA has extended its Sento bathroom furniture range with the addition of new washbasin units, designed to work with countertop bowls. The new washbasin units are offered in 65, 80, 100 and 130cm sizes and can be used with any VitrA countertop basin. The units are available with or without legs, with doors or drawers (one or two) and in matt cream, matt anthracite and matt white finishes. Polypipe has developed a new range of smart controls compatible with leading home smart systems, Google Assistant, Apple Homekit and Amazon Alexa. The new Smart controls allow customers to adjust the temperature of their underfloor heating system using a smartphone, tablet or
touchscreen thermostat.
There are three different control options, Simple (dial thermostat), Standard (programmable thermostat) and Smart (internet enabled). This new range has been designed to be slim and stylish and feature proximity-based illuminated soft touch keys. The range includes frost protection and a holiday function plus an energy saving optimum start which calculates the amount of heat-up time within a system required to ensure the property is warm when the owner wakes and returns home.

Oil-fired domestic boiler people, Hounsfield Boilers, have launched the new Tuscan wall-mounted heat-only oil-fired boilers models in internal and external versions, with an output of 12 - 19kW. Both models are equipped with life-long air-craft grade stainless steel Teflon cored flexible hose, that will not rot or degrade, a Bentone BF1 burner, plus thicker insulation to retain heat and reduce noise. The new external wall-hung models also include a frost thermostat which senses water temperature rather than air, tough weather proof casing and a compact 640mm x 760mm x 320mm size. Every boiler undergoes over fourteen quality checks during manufacture including the burner which is test fired and is pre-bled with kerosene, the oil filter and fire valve kit comes pre-assembled.

Expamet has made its Windpost and Masonry Support products available in BIM to simplify the specification of the bespoke products.
The range includes BAT Bracket and Angle Support Systems. All designs are supplied with method statements, product installation instructions and packed in order using the supplied site layout and inventory. Expamet’s Windposts come in four designs, Spine Posts, alongside U, L and H section variations.
