2. Expamet release new BIM Models

Expamet has made its Windpost and Masonry Support products available in BIM to simplify the specification process of the bespoke products. Masonry Support Systems provide a method of controlling the uninterrupted height of masonry panels and accommodating differential vertical movement between masonry cladding and framed structures. The range includes BAT Bracket and Angle Support Systems.
1. Isover insulates in Lincolnshire
A development of four executive bungalows in the rural village of South Rauceby used Isover’s pitched roof insulation solution Metac, which complemented the semi-vaulted ceiling design and helped to reduce time and labour costs on site.
Metac is a high-performance glass mineral wool insulation engineered with both thermal performance and acoustics in mind, reducing unwelcome external noise by 49 dB (RW). Manufactured from up to 80 per cent recycled glass it is also non-combustible and achieves an A1 Euroclass fire rating. It was supplied by Turnbull Building and Plumbing Supplies.

All designs are supplied with method statements, product installation instructions and packed in order using the supplied site layout and inventory. Expamet’s Windposts come in four designs, Spine Posts, alongside U, L and H section variations. In addition to this, Parapet and Spandrel Windposts are also included within the range to offer stability to walls and parapets below windows.

2 4 4. Dulux Trade
launches Colour Sensor Dulux Trade has launched a kit for decorators to allow them to match the colour of multiple surfaces to Dulux Trade paint on the job. The bespoke Dulux Trade Colour Sensor designed for Dulux Trade paints to give far greater accuracy. The device, which is the size of a 50 pence piece and weighs only 17 grams, works by scanning for the desired colour - whether it be an item of clothing, a cushion, or a picture of a sunset in a magazine - and showing the closest Dulux Trade paint match via Bluetooth on the Dulux Trade Colour Sensor app that can be downloaded free to a phone or tablet. The app also shows a selection of rooms painted in the colour to give customers higher confidence levels and ensure every customer is satisfied with the resulting job.
The durable sensor contains an integrated, rechargeable battery which provides more than 3,000 scans per charge. The recommended retail price is £150.

Grant UK’s new Afinia Aluminium Radiators come in horizontal and vertical options, and are suitable for both high and low temperature systems. Compatible with all of Grant’s products including Vortex oil-fired boilers and Aerona³ R32 air source heat pumps, the radiators come in finished size combinations of between 6 and 15 sections; horizontal models come in three standard heights – 430mm, 580mm and 680mm, while the two vertical models come in heights of 1,842mm or 2,042mm.

5. ACO expands MonoDrain ACO Water Management’s new MonoDrain PD150D has an increased bore width of 150mm, allowing for a greater hydraulic capacity across a larger surface area. Also, it requires fewer drainage runs to manage the water, making it a solution for larger
projects.The channels are available in one metre lengths, improving installation speeds, while each unit requires just 100mm of concrete haunching. The expanded one-piece range – in which the inlets and channels are fully integrated - includes 10mm Heelguard™ inlets. IT comes in three colours – black, grey and natural and a self-locking function allows easy access, while the channel can be maintained in the same way as a traditional grated system through pressure jetting.

6. Freefoam adds new colour Freefoam has added the popular Sage Green to its Double Shiplap cladding range. Already available in the Weatherboard style cladding, the natural, soft shade with grey undertones is subtle yet stylish and suitable for any location, from rural countryside, coastal situations and urban city environments. The Double Shiplap and Weatherboard cladding are part of the Fortex Range. A PVC product that features an attractive embossed wood effect texture in ten subtle, traditional and contemporary colours.
