Dishmatic goes pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month


EasyDo Products will be offering its popular pink limited edition Dishmatic range again this year in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There will be three limited-edition pink Dishmatic products available in the UK. The household favourite Dishmatic Style with its easy grip handle and specially designed twist and click closure for easy filling, the innovative Dishmatic Glide with its clever staggered bristle and blade design and the heavy duty Dishmatic Scrubbee (which will be boasting a limited- edition pink sleeve) with its stainless steel scourer head. Alongside the rosy range the UK household cleaning manufacturer is continuing its support of Against Breast Cancer (UK), with a donation of £10,000 to the charity which funds pioneering research into new breast cancer treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread of the disease. This is the fourth year that the brand has


supported the charity and monies donated have funded a vital bio bank (a type of specialist freezer storage) for samples from a diet and lifestyle study.

Hobbycraft raises £1.5 million for Together for Short Lives


Hobbycraft has announced it has reached a fundraising milestone of £1.5 million for charity partner, Together for Short Lives. Hobbycraft has worked with


Together for Short Lives for eight years and its dedicated store teams, head office staff and generous customers raise funds all year round to support seriously ill children and their families, as well as the lifeline children’s hospices that support them. Activity throughout the year includes dedicated fundraising workshops, charity walks, bake


sales, raffles and more. Micro-donations can also be made in store at the till via Pennies’ digital charity box. Since partnering with Pennies in 2016 Hobbycraft customers have raised £500,000 for charity, supporting the 54 children’s hospices across the UK, with over 2.5 million micro-donations being made.


The retailer ramped up its


fundraising efforts in 2019 with the introduction of the exclusive Disney Frozen II


Colour-in Arendelle Castle, with all profits from each sale going to Together for Short Lives. This was alongside the exclusive ‘Shine Together’ ceramic star Christmas decoration, with 50p from every purchase going to the charity.


Rainy Day Trust launches Covid-19 support leaflet


The Rainy Day Trust is continuing in the drive to spread awareness of its support during the Covid- 19 crisis with the launch of a leaflet designed to appeal to businesses potentially at the beginning of any restructuring process.


The leaflet, ‘Help for your business to cope with the new normal’, urges companies to get in touch with the RDT at an early stage – as Bryan Clover CEO of the


charity explains: “We’re worried that in some


areas, furloughed staff will turn into redundant staff. That’s never an easy thing to deal with. But we can bring a fresh perspective to your plans and help individuals concerned or affected by any changes. “If you, your company or


anyone you know, is talking about a re-structure or job losses, please engage with us right from the start.”
