ADVECO
The AD range of high-effi ciency wall-mounted condensing gas- fi red water heaters from hot water specialist Adveco is designed to provide a compact, high capacity and reliable method for delivering instantaneous hot water to a building.
AD wall-mounted is a range of ‘A’ class energy effi cient water heaters available in three rated heat outputs, 27 kW (AD16), 33 kW (AD22) and 61 kW (AD37). When combined with a water cylinder, AD wall-mounted helps meet peak withdrawals without increasing the water heater power. AD wall-mounted can also integrate with solar thermal systems to supply top-up heating when solar radiation during winter months is not enough to guarantee the required temperature for DHW demands.
Bill Sinclair, technical director, Adveco said: “For property renovation where space is at a premium or when existing gas appliances need modernising, the AD wall-mounted range delivers highly effi cient operation in a compact form factor.

GILBERTS
The theory of whether humans could live on Mars is being put to the test with help from air movement specialist Gilberts. The 53m2
two storey infl atable house Martian House is part of an ongoing public art project which aims to explore the practicality of living on Mars- a planet with limited power and air.
Chris Howard, Gilberts regional manager, said: “The Martian House is meant as a conversation starter, to make people aware of how we live and use our natural resources, and how to better manage them. We were honoured to be chosen to provide the ventilation expertise in such a thought-provoking concept.”
Gilberts utilised its in-house software modelling to calculate the most appropriate means of ensuring correct levels of ventilation. Products incorporated include in-house software modelling; 400mm x 400mm WGF/38 weather louvre; low power fans ; a single Series L linear bar grille 600mm long with blades angled at 15°; A GX/100 extract valve

ARMSTRONG
Armstrong Fluid Technology’s mobile app brings all of the value and benefi ts of its Pump Manager subscription service to users of Android and iOS mobile devices. Leveraging the advanced intelligence and connectivity of Armstrong Design Envelope pumps, Pump Manager is a cloud-based service that provides pump analytics and performance insights along with alerts and notifi cations. The service supports Active Performance Management in HVAC systems.
“With this new app, service technicians, facility managers and operators can receive real-time alerts and performance data, wherever they are,” explains Tunji Asiwaju, global manager, cloud services with Armstrong. “Service contractors may have a service level agreement for a set retainer fee, so they can really benefi t from effi ciency improvements in service processes. They can check a mobile device and know immediately what issue a pump is experiencing.” The App is available in the Google Play Store and Apple Store.

HOVAL
Hoval’s Belaria®fi t air/water heat pumps has been designed for systems with high outputs and a high proportion of renewable energies. Belaria®fi t delivers effi cient heating, cooling and domestic hot water production at the same time and can be used on its own or as part of a hybrid system. Up to 16 Belaria®fi t units can be combined in a cascade, enabling outputs into the megawatt range. Belaria®fi t is also well suited to use in a hybrid confi guration, such as alongside a gas condensing boiler for use at peak demand to provide attractive price/performance ratios. The units are easily retrofi tted to existing heating systems. At the heart of the design is advanced, modulating inverter technology that enables continuous adjustment from 40-100% of load, ensuring optimum energy effi ciency at all times. Additionally, the hydrophilic coating on evaporator fi ns maintains consistently high effi ciency and shorter defrosting times. Further effi ciencies are achieved through the use of R32 refrigerant.

CONDAIR
Humidity control specialist, Condair, has released a podcast about how food manufacturers can enhance their productivity by controlling their production area’s humidity.
Dave Marshall-George, sales director at Condair, explains how paying more attention to a manufacturing or storage area’s ambient humidity, can improve manufacturing yield and profi ts.
He adds: “Accurate humidity management in food and beverage production has many benefi ts. Humidifi cation is frequently used to reduce evaporative losses, prevent static issues and extend shelf-life of produce. Dehumidifi cation can be employed to dry a product, eliminate condensation, reduce cold storage overheads or prevent products sticking to conveyors. “We work with food and beverage manufacturers to identify areas of potential improvement across a production line, and then implement systems to maintain the ideal environment. JAGA
Jaga UK has launched its third new CPD seminar for 2022 entitled – “Emitters: Considerations for Low Flow Temperature Heating”. This latest CPD seminar, fully accredited by both CIBSE and RIBA, has been created in response to England’s building regulations uplift which came into force this June, stipulating that all new and replacement wet space heating systems in domestic and non-domestic buildings must be designed with a maximum fl ow temperature requirement of 55°C – an important factor for system effi ciency.
Jaga’s technical experts discuss building regulations updates for maximum fl ow temperature, heat pump technology, the various emitter options and sizing for low fl ow temperature systems and how to achieve optimum system effi ciency by selecting the right emitters. Managing director, Phil Mangnall said: “This latest CPD is designed to help engineers, architects and installers understand the importance of designing heating systems with the lowest water fl ow temperature possible.
