Introducing ECOMOD the fi rst commercial heat pump from Ideal Heating I
n support of the UK’s decarbonisation of heating and contributing towards Net Zero by 2050, Ideal Heating has launched the ECOMOD
range of commercial heat pumps. These monobloc air source heat pumps have been developed to meet the changing commercial heating market needs and off er highly effi cient COP performance with low environmental impact, thanks to the use of R32 refrigerant. The ECOMOD range of units will be available in a choice of six outputs ranging from 14kW through to 70kW. Built with larger buildings in mind they can cascade to achieve higher output. Compact and lightweight for ease of delivery and installation; hybrid and Bi-valent compatible, they provide a hassle-free and simple solution for today’s evolving heating strategy. Free commissioning by Ideal Heating will also be available. The range off ers a single phase 14kW unit which is suitable for sites without access to 3 phase electricity, for example care homes and community halls. Accessories for the range will include: control units and buff er vessels to facilitate cascading; anti-vibration mounts to elevate the units from the fl oor and to eliminate noise and hydraulic connections for ease of installation. Jason Allen, Ideal Heating Commercial heat
pump product manager, has said: “The new Ideal ECOMOD range are in the leading class of air source heat pumps. Some high-level unique points that set them apart are that they have an inverter driven compressor for closer control and to accurately match the heat demand, plus anti-corrosion Gold Fin coating comes as standard on the 14kW and 18kW models and is available as an optional extra on the other models. The DC fan motor and inverter water pump are built into the outdoor system. He continued: “We have a product that is comparable to those within the current domestic environment, which far exceeds what is presently accepted in the commercial marketplace. These units also have a very low starting current, which will create opportunities for installations that previously would have struggled to utilise a larger heat pump solution.” The ECOMOD range can be combined with Ideal Heating’s industry leading boilers, to create the optimum low carbon hybrid heating system. The ECOMOD works perfectly alongside other renewable technologies, such as solar and wind.
Free commissioning and extended warranty Free commissioning is available on all ECOMOD products. This innovative service will greatly assist specifi ers, merchants and installers, as
it not only reduces customer costs it also ensures that the heat pumps are operating correctly and activates the extended warranty. The ECOMOD range are supplied with a comprehensive
2-year warranty as standard, with the option to upgrade to a 5-year warranty, once trained and system commissioned by Ideal Heating.
