REMEHA
Remeha has unveiled the new Quinta Ace range, an advanced wall-hung condensing boiler series that combines robust, reliable, high operational performance with superior control capability to maximise lifetime boiler effi ciency. The Quinta Ace, successor to the Quinta Pro series, builds on its predecessor’s pioneerinf technology with a next-generation control platform and an all-new human-
machine interface (HMI) panel. The new controller has been designed for easy installation, commissioning and programming. Via a new full text, full colour interface, it provides intuitive access to an extended range of parameters using a rotary selection dial and smartphone- like buttons. The clear design encourages improved boiler control for higher effi ciencies, increased comfort levels, minimum emissions and lower lifecycle costs.

KESTON
Keston Boilers has released an improved version of its Keston 22mm System Filter. Developed with Adey, the 22mm System Filter is for use with Keston Combi and System boilers. It provides protection against the damaging eff ects of magnetite and non-magnetic debris, and is equipped with a quick-release trigger. This allows the System Filter to be removed and reinstalled
within seconds, making installation and servicing process quicker. Servicing options have been improved with its design, such as the low profi le drain valve, meaning the System Filter can be serviced more effi ciently and does not need to be fully removed. Complex installations have been made easier, with the System Filter’s new design. Its 360-degree rotational valves accommodate vertical or horizontal pipework fl ow, and it is supplied with quality isolation valves.

SALUS
SALUS’ Smart Home system off ers an extensive range of connected products enabling homeowners to run their home from their phone, tablet, computer, or via a Smart Assistant, and is an eff ective way to drive energy effi ciency and save money on heating, and not just via the thermostat. With a SALUS smart thermostat, homeowners
can save 8.4-16.5% on heating bills – somewhere between £180-£300 per year. What makes the SALUS Smart Home system diff erent is the way in which the devices can interact with each other. Its multiple rule options means there is even more scope to reduce energy expenditure. The system can detect when the user leaves or returns home using data, and will turn the heating off and on automatically. A schedule can be set and over time the system will learn the user’s habits and programme itself and provide regular energy usage reports, too.

KINGSPAN
Kingspan Kooltherm Pipe Insulation from Kingspan Industrial Insulation was specifi ed to ensure that a new, single site secondary school and sixth form in Glossop is both comfortable and low-cost to run. The pipe insulation was used in concealed areas such as in ceiling voids, on droppers and within low-level boxings, in addition to the plant room and boiler room. With industry leading
thermal conductivities as low as 0.025 W/m·K, Kingspan Kooltherm Pipe Insulation provided a slim-line solution for reducing heat transmission from the pipework. Kingspan Kooltherm Pipe Insulation is Class 0 as defi ned by Building Regulations, has a BRE Green Guide A/A+ rating, and is manufactured under a BS EN ISO 14001: 2015 scheme. It is the fi rst pipe insulation product to attain BDA Agrément certifi cation under the scheme.

TOSHIBA
Toshiba has released a new generation of its air conditioning system design software which for the fi rst time enables contractors to carry out both split and VRF system selections and automated EN378 F-Gas compliance checks. DesignAIRS was originally developed by Toshiba in Europe, and the company has adopted the system as
its global air conditioning design platform, developing and rolling out a completely updated version of the software. The latest version enables a range of technologies to be added to designs, including split systems, heat recovery, hot water modules and DX-based air handling units. In addition to automatically evaluating compliance with mandatory refrigerant safety standards, the new programme simulates true system capacity for designs, providing assurance that a proposed solution will meet statutory and project performance requirements.
