SAV SYSTEMS
SAV has introduced Smart M-Bus, which reduces the cost and complexity of metering in heat networks by exploiting M-Bus as a two-way communication system. Smart M-Bus is used to analyse heat networks, at both individual consumer level and system-wide. This data can be used for both billing and network performance. Smart M-Bus can incorporate M-Bus disconnect
module which, can isolate the heat interface unit (HIU) to eliminate debt risk. When combined with the Boble app, this is transformed into a pay-as-you-go system that allows users to view their current supply status and available credit. Users can also make payments through the app.
Network performance monitoring can be easily performed by using Kamstrup consumer and system energy meters.

REZNOR
Reznor, part of Nortek Global HVAC (UK), continues its tradition of manufacturing high effi ciency heating equipment with its ErP compliant range, including the PREEVA EC which provides combined heating and ventilation with optional cooling. The units are available with a wide range of heat outputs and cooling capacities. The units are available as non- condensing heaters with thermal effi ciencies above 91% or fully condensing heaters with thermal effi ciencies of 102% (ncv). The design combines high thermal effi ciency, quality components and ease of maintenance for enhanced life expectancy and reduced life cycle costs. The PREEVA EC range incorporates an EC plug fan, which provides a wide range of air duties and external static pressures. The addition of the optional mixing box enables air fi ltration.

CONDAIR
Humidity control specialist Condair has extended its dehumidifi er range to include more desiccant models, wall and ceiling-mounted systems, units that control temperature as well as humidity, and swimming pool units.
Tim Scott, head of sales at Condair, commented: “Having successfully launched Condair dehumidifi ers to the UK market just
a few years ago, it is very exciting to be able to further strengthen our portfolio of dehumidifi cation systems.
“Condair now boasts one of the most extensive ranges of dehumidifi ers available from a single supplier, as well as off ering fully customised solutions for unusual projects or extreme control. Whatever application, capacity or humidity level is needed, Condair has the dehumidifi er to perfectly meet the requirement.”

VIESSMANN
Viessmann is launching its new Vitovalor PT2 fuel cell micro combined heat and power (mCHP) boiler this May. Under the new EU energy labelling scale, which comes into force in October 2019, Vitovalor PT2 will have the highest possible Energy-related Product (ErP) rating of A+++. This corresponds to an annual seasonal effi ciency of up to 192%, making it a serious alternative to heat pump
systems. Not only is the Vitovalor easier than a heat pump to add to an existing heating system, it has a 40,000 kWh heat load demand, double that of an air source heat pump, and generates electricity as well as heat. It can generate enough electricity to cover the basic demands of an average household, save up to 40% of household energy consumption and reduce CO2emissions by up to 30% compared to separate heat and power generation.

MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC
Mitsubishi Electric is expanding its off ering in the IT cooling market with its new s-MEXT high precision air conditioning systems. The s-MEXT is a high precision air conditioner that connects directly to Mitsubishi Electric’s DX Mr Slim Power Inverter outdoor units to create a full
inverter split system, designed according to the best quality standards and dedicated to the most reliable IT environments. It is also the company’s fi rst packaged Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) unit. The s-MEXT is the fi rst Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems (MEHITS) product to carry the three diamonds, taking advantage of over 50 years of experience of the RC brand within the IT Cooling market.

LOCHINVAR
Lochinvar has launched a new range of stainless steel, gas-fi red storage water heaters. Both models in the EcoSable range are fully condensing and have hot water recovery rates of 620 and 800 litres per hour, based on a temperature rise of 50degC. They each have a storage capacity of 186 litres. Key benefi ts of EcoSable water
heaters are their ability to operate at temperatures up to 85°C and with water pressures of up to eight bar. The models are 92% and 93% effi cient and ‘A’ rated under the testing methodology used to assess compliance with the latest Energy Related Products regulations (ErP). Both use a low NOx, pre-mix modulating gas burner, which closely matches output to demand, and a submerged combustion chamber with spiral fl ue that keeps the water heater in continuous condensing mode during hot water demand periods.
