ARMSTRONG

Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced the Integrated Pumping System (IPS 4000), an automation solution for commercial HVAC pumping stations of up to eight pumps and 16 zones. The new IPS 4000 automates and optimises multi-pump installations in a range of diff erent plant confi gurations. Providing sequences for variable primary, secondary or tertiary pumping system applications, it delivers signifi cant energy savings using Armstrong’s patented Parallel SensorlessTM Pump Control technology. Pre- confi gured to leverage the capabilities of Design Envelope, the new IPS 4000 off ers fast and simple set-up for the most cost-eff ective and effi cient pump control results. Designed for control of multiple pumps, it can maximise the performance profi les of up to eight variable speed pumps and up to 12 zones.

SWEGON

Swegon has introduced a new range of controlled mechanical ventilation units with high effi ciency heat recovery to the UK market. The new Global PX units are part of the company’s suite of products designed to deliver improved indoor air quality (IAQ) in as energy effi cient a way as possible. They employ high effi ciency counterfl ow plate heat exchangers that capture energy from

the exhaust air to preheat the incoming air which is used to refresh the indoor space. There are four models in the range: Total, Global, Flat and Mural delivering ventilation capacities between 300 and 9,000 m3/ hr. They include a counter fl ow aluminium plate exchanger, stainless steel condensate collection tray, F7 fi lters, modulating bypass and high effi ciency (ECO) fans. They are suitable for both large residential and a wide range of commercial applications.

HOVAL

Hoval has launched a modular, scalable solution for heating and ventilating warehouses and other ‘shed’ type buildings of any size and height, providing signifi cantly improved control of thermal stratifi cation in comparison to conventional systems. Providing the best features of both centralised and decentralised

systems, the Hoval Large Space Heating system simplifi es planning and tendering whilst also reducing project implementation times. The system is based on a three-module concept confi gurable depending on requirements, the UltraGas condensing gas boiler feeding TopVent units for recirculation or RoofVent units should air changes be required. All of these products are controlled by the TopTronic C zone control system, all of which are fully compliant with the 2018 ErP Directive.

HAMWORTHY

Leading manufacturers from Ireland and the rest of Europe assembled at the two day SEAI Energy Show in Dublin where Hamworthy Heating’s Irish distributor Hevac accepted the distinction ‘Commended’ at this year’s SEAI Awards for Hamworthy’s Upton boiler. Hevac put Hamworthy’s space- saving Upton boiler with over 1MW of output

from less than 1sqm footprint forward for the Best Innovative Product SEAI Award, judged “by a panel of highly qualifi ed and experienced professionals drawn from building engineering, architecture, facilities management and contracting.” The judges recognised the Upton’s most distinctive features: a large output from a small footprint with the ability to fi t into small plant rooms and a specially designed aluminium heat exchanger with rapid heat transfer making it a highly effi cient boiler.

TROX

Trox has been selected by BAM Construction to supply PWX fancoils for the second building at premier offi ce space Paradise, Birmingham – Two Chamberlain Square. The Trox PWX fan coil range is an ideal choice for the air conditioning system at Two Chamberlain Square, where comfort of building occupants and energy effi ciency are key priorities. When developing the PWX range, Trox put the new fan coils through thorough in-house testing, using their in-house test chamber (constructed to comply with ASHRAE 79, BS1397 and Eurovent 6/3), in addition to extensive corroboration of results at an independent test facility. Specifi ers of PWX fan coils are able to input exact performance criteria for an extremely wide range of thermal and acoustic scenarios when planning their air conditioning schemes, instead of having to rely on ‘anticipated’ or ‘expected’ data.

BOSCH

Bosch Commercial and Industrial has announced the launch of its new range of air conditioning splits with with environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant for the UK domestic and commercial markets.

The new range covers Single Split Residential Air Conditioning (RAC), Single Commercial Air Conditioning (SCAC) and Multisplit units with DC inverter technology. The range is highly effi cient with ErP rating of A++ for cooling and A+ for heating for both RAC and SCAC units and A+/A++ for cooling and A for heating of multisplit units.

A key feature of the new range is the introduction of refrigerant leakage detection. This ensures the safety of users and the environment while protecting the compressor from damage by shutting down the unit and warning users in case of a leak.
