>B< MaxiPro e-learning T

he module is a key feature of the new portal introduced by the global manufacturer of fittings and valves that is dedicated to the

innovative pipe jointing system.

The portal has been launched in the UK and North America, with similar portals for other markets due to be announced shortly. Previously, engineers had be trained face-to-

face, learning the correct method of installation to become a certified installer which brings with it the added benefit of extending the warranty on >B< MaxiPro products from one to five years (terms and conditions apply). Now, by logging onto the new portal and

creating an account, they have the option of online training plus access to helpful videos, installation guides and technical information, project case studies and the opportunity to post questions.

Step-by-step guide

The e-learning module includes a step-by-step guide, followed by questions to test the engineer’s knowledge, and access to a digital certificate upon successful completion. Emma Baldwin, group marketing executive,

said: “As a business, we are continually looking at ways we can add value to the first-class service offering we provide our customers. “Since its introduction, >B< MaxiPro has

become the pipework jointing solution of choice for ACR engineers and with the new portal and e- learning module it means we can put all the information they require at their fingertips in an instant.” The award-winning >B< MaxiPro is a

revolutionary progression in Conex Bänninger’s industry leading press-fit technology. Specifically designed for ACR applications, the pipe jointing system offers significant advantages over traditional brazing, ensuring a secure joint that is quick and easy to install.

It is designed to be used up to a maximum

operating pressure of 48 bar, with a maximum operating temperature range of -40°C to 121°C. >B< MaxiPro utilises Conex Bänninger’s three-

point-press technology, with one press each side of the bead and one compressing the O-ring, providing a permanent, leak-free joint.

 June 2019 Faster installation

As a flame-free mechanical joint, it eliminates the need for hot works permits and risk of fire on-site. Coupled with the faster speed of installation, this gives it a significant competitive edge over traditional braze. Once basic preparation is complete, it takes just

five seconds to complete the joint, delivering greater productivity for ACR engineers and contractors, giving specifiers the confidence that projects will be completed quickly within reliable timeframes. Conex Bänninger has extended its >B< MaxiPro

product range as demand for the system continues to grow. The new fittings include three types of long coupler, copper flare joints available with brass and stainless nuts, a range of copper flare washers in different sizes, and a suction line P- trap. A 100ml bottle of press fitting lubricant has also been added. Dan Wild, UK business unit director, said: “Since we launched >B< MaxiPro in the UK towards the end of 2017 demand has continued to grow. “Every week we are training more engineers who see the benefits of using this innovative product as a quicker-to-fit, reliable alternative to traditional brazing. “As a flame-free copper press joint, there’s no

need for a hot works permit and the risk of fire is eliminated.”

110 years of innovation

Throughout its long history innovation has been at the heart of Conex Bänninger, developing an extensive range of fittings and valves that have placed it at the forefront in the plumbing, HVACR and accessories industry. A brand leader in markets

around the globe, the company has been meeting the needs of installers and specifiers since 1909. Its high quality press fit products are

manufactured in Europe and are designed and engineered to international standards and accreditations for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. This is backed up with a commitment to

developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, along with support for installers and engineers through investment in in-depth product and skills training. The company has produced more than 22 billion fittings during its 110 years of innovation, which can be traced back to when entrepreneur Carl Bänninger opened a fittings factory in Giessen, Germany, and when a few years later Conex- Sanbra was founded in England. These two separate businesses joined together

to form the major player that is Conex Bänninger today and which continues to be driven by the same entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout its rich history, many ground-

breaking products have been brought to market. These have made Conex Bänninger a leader in the

‘press revolution’ that is taking place in the industry, in which the traditional brazing solution is being replaced by flame-free press fittings that provide secure, repeatable joints along with enhanced productivity, resulting in lower labour costs.
