the A-Gas Group. As A-Gas continues its


environmental journey and its focus on sustainability, new opportunities in the marketplace are present globally. To pursue this ambitious growth agenda, the company is continuing to invest in its people, processes, innovation and technology to expand its service offering and drive towards its sustainability pledge of becoming a net zero company by the year 2035.


After an extensive global search, Jack Govers has been appointed as the new chief executive to lead and deliver A-Gas’ plans for further growth, sustainability and operational business excellence.


Mr Govers said: “I am joining A-Gas at an exciting time for the business as it continues on its environmental journey and plans for growth into new markets and regions. The company has built an outstanding reputation for almost 30


Andrew Ambrose has been the chief executive officer of the business for more than seven years. Mr Ambrose will be moving into the role of executive chairman, continuing to work on the global leadership team on a full-time basis. Mr Ambrose said: “I am very excited to welcome Jack into the A-Gas family. Jack joins us at an exciting time as we gear up for further growth, underpinned by our environmental agenda. His expertise in transformation, leadership and customer relationships will be a perfect fit for the A-Gas values and vision for the future.”

he Kershaw Group, a building services company based in Cambridge and Oxford, has appointed two new directors. Paul Oakman has joined as managing director and Kate Deveraux as finance director.


Mr Oakman, who has over 35 years of experience in the building services industry, has a broad business understanding as well as the ability to identify and manage risk and opportunity.


“We are delighted to appoint Paul to this position; he brings a wealth of experience, and in his capacity


as managing director, he will use his strong skill set to review current operations and all of their associated procedural functions, to harmonise best practise across the business,” said Ian Greenstock, Kershaw Group executive chairman.


“I am pleased to step into the role of managing director, at what is an exciting period for the organisation,” Mr Oakman said of his appointment. “As our industry starts to emerge from the uncertainty of Brexit and the impact of Covid-19, I can see many new opportunities on the horizon and my focus will be on leading the business forward through the next stage of its development as we expand further the range of services we are able to offer our clients”.


Mr Oakman will work closely with Ian Greenstock and the other company directors to ensure that the company’s systems are in place to provide exceptional customer service, and that it is on track to meet its ambitious strategic growth goals. Ms Deveraux has held a number of senior leadership positions, including over eight years in the construction business, and will play a key role in driving strategic growth, transformation and process and system optimisation.


Ian Greenstock commented: ‘We are happy that Kate will be joining Kershaw’s senior management team as a seasoned finance director. She brings the necessary abilities, experience, and dedication to assist Kershaw to meet its ambitious growth targets.”


Speaking of her appointment


Ms Deveraux said: “I am thrilled to be joining Kershaw Group; it is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leader in the building services industry, and I am looking forward to working closely with the entire senior management team.”


Ms Deveraux will be working closely with Andy Crouch, who previously held the role and who remains with the organisation, overseeing the larger external financial relationships and future strategy of the business.

ee Howes has joined Pacair as specification sales engineer for the Midlands. He has over 30 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, starting out on the contracting side of the industry before holding positions with two major manufacturers in more recent years.


With an HNC in Building Services Engineering and a background in design, Mr Howes prefers to take a hands-on approach, working closely with specifiers to ensure that the best solution is found for each project.
