elcome to the November issue of ACR News. Sustainability is the watch
word for this issue as COP26 gets underway in Glasgow. Buildings professionals from all walks will be keeping a careful eye on what emerges from these talks given that buildings account for around 40% of global emissions according to UNEP figures. In addition, the government recently launched its Heat &
Buildings Strategy – of interest, the Boiler Upgrade scheme which is geared towards replacing boilers with heat pumps. Although all the training and PR is aimed at heating installers, some businesses founded on air conditioning seem to be slowly expanding their scope to include domestic heating. In this issue we look at environmental issues and have a plethora of case studies which I hope you find this issue informative and interesting.
