Carel
At ISH 2025, Carel will present solutions for heat generation and indoor air quality. The c.pCO sistema
programmable controllers manage the units, guaranteeing maximum fl exibility and integration between system
components. As further support, Carel’s advanced software ensures optimised management of the refrigeration cycle with upgraded and improved algorithms such as defrost management, low-load compressor operation, and revised alarm mapping. This software is ready-to-use or easily customised using existing function blocks. The products available are A3 ready and ATEX-certifi ed, designed to ensure safety and faster unit certifi cation in applications where fl ammable refrigerants such as propane are used. Virtual Loop is Carel’s simulator that, using digital twin technology, replicates the behaviour of actual thermodynamic units in a virtual environment. Integrating seamlessly into the STone ecosystem, this tool revolutionises the design and testing of units such as heat pumps, chillers and rooftops, allowing developers to test and optimise the implemented control logic in real-time. By eliminating the need for physical prototypes and complex infrastructure, it makes development much faster and signifi cantly less costly, ensuring the end product’s high effi ciency and reliability. pYC mini is the new line of programmable controllers designed to meet the growing demand for effi ciency, safety, and versatility in HVAC/R applications. With a compact structure and the fl exibility off ered by programmability, pYC mini also complies with the latest regulations on low GWP refrigerants, including fl ammable gases (A3, A2L). Serial communication, available as standard, is used to directly manage the primary actuators on the unit, such as electronic expansion valves, fan speed controllers, and compressor inverters, thus optimising control and energy effi ciency. Wireless connectivity enables quick and intuitive setup using the APPLICA app, simplifying installation and monitoring. Finally, integration with supervisory systems is also available for constant monitoring and detailed performance analysis.

Conex Bänninger
Conex Bänninger is promoting press-fi t to a new generation of apprentices by developing relationships with colleges across the country.
As part of this ongoing campaign, it has linked up with HIP – the magazine for plumbing and heating apprentices – to take part in a series of ‘Meet the Manufacturer’ sessions with college lecturers to highlight the advantages of press-fi t further and bring it to a new generation of apprentices. HIP hosts nine annual regional
events across the UK, off ering manufacturers a platform to showcase and demonstrate their products to college lecturers. These sessions coincide with the HIP Learner of the Year and Female Skills Competition. Conex Bänninger has trained over 300 students on how to install
>B< Press and as part of this promotional activity with HIP, has sole sponsorship of the ‘press-fi t’ range in its student handbook, distributed to colleges up and down the UK. Training has taken place at various educational establishments, including The Energy Training Academy in Dalkeith, Scotland, Dudley College of Technology, Stoke-on-Trent College, and Walsall College. Lisa Cox, Conex Bänninger’s national sales manager – UK and
Ireland, commented: “Press-fi t has helped to revolutionise the plumbing and heating sector due to the speed of installation when joining pipe compared to brazing. It is fl ame-free; therefore, no hot- works licence or a subsequent fi re watch is needed when on-site work. While brazing has its place and apprentices are taught this in colleges, many will convert to press-fi t. “Our >B< Press fi ttings are available in copper and copper alloy
and are quick and easy to install thereby reducing installation time and cost.”
A 3-point press system (up to 54mm) ensures a secure, permanent,
leak-free joint suitable for multiple applications. Within its innovative design is an unpressed joint indicator that assists in identifying any unpressed joints. Installers are provided with a ‘safety net’ if any joints have been missed. Compatible with a range of press tools and jaws, >B< Press fi ttings
are suitable for multiple applications, including drinking water, water heaters, local and district heating, chilled and cooling water and rainwater.
