Associated Vending Services Conference Dazzles at New Venue in Croatia

n Monday 20th & Tuesday 21st June 2022, AVS members and suppliers ventured to a new
location for the annual AVS conference. This year it was held at the Hotel
Dubrovnik Palace, Croatia on the Lapad peninsula with spectacular views across the Adriatic & just a few minutes drive from the medieval Dubrovnik Old Town. “Everyone agreed that the new location
made a refreshing change & there was a real buzz in the air in a very sunny Dubrovnik. AVS members and its suppliers have a very unique relationship & the AVS annual conference is when this shines through whilst celebrating this special industry” Louise Cummings, Chief Executive Officer, AVS. From Saturday onwards 160 guests were met on arrival at the hotel & were treated to welcome drinks in the Sunset lounge with stunning views out to the Elafiti Islands. The first day of the busy schedule began on Monday with a delicious buffet held beachside at Sunset Beach. Guests enjoyed an afternoon buffet, barbeque and drinks and the chance for some informal networking. Next up was the drinks & food reception in the Sunset Lounge, where everyone mingled while awaiting transport to Gruz Port for a sunset cruise on board the Tirena galleon, as seen on The Game of Thrones. All enjoyed drinks & desserts, relaxing with old friends and new, accompanied by traditional Croatian
musicians.Friday was the all important conference day opened by AVS Chair, Tim Newberry of Hallmark Vending, followed by special guest speaker, Robert Llewelyn of The Fully Charged Show. The network speed dating began, with a
day of hard slog of Suppliers touting their wares and promoting their company to AVS Members. The evening was spent at the stunning Vala Beach with a cocktail reception
followed by an evening meal. The eagerly awaited AVS Awards ceremony was then hosted by Huey Morgan, best known as frontman for the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, followed by his DJ set NY Bloc Party where everyone danced the night away.
