VENDITALIA returns One of the most important international events in automatic distribution VENDITALIA returns at fieramilano-Rho from May 20 to 23, 2020. Organised by Venditalia Servizi and promoted by CONFIDA – Italian Association of Automatic Distribution, VENDITALIA represents all product sectors of the entire automatic distribution supply chain. And to celebrate its 40th anniversary VENDITALIA is introducing a new
logo – a symbolic representation of the touch experience of a vending machine: a digital circuit capable of connecting people, products and technologies. With a turnover of almost € 4 billion and over 12 billion total consumptions, the market for automatic distribution of food and beverages and portioned coffee (capsules and pods) in Italy ended 2018 with 4.7% growth compared to 2017. This is revealed in a CONFIDA sector study, carried out in collaboration with Accenture. Coffee is the most consumed product of the automatic industry. But
what is most striking are the consumption areas: with 12,000 machines installed in 2018 alone. Crucially, in Italy there are now 822,175 vending machines installed – a record that puts Italy in the lead, followed by France and Germany and places automatic distribution at the top of the distribution and sales channels to the final consumer. Ernesto Piloni, president of Venditalia, says: “Automatic distribution
represents the excellence of ‘made in Italy’. Italy is the European country with the largest number of vending machines installed. There is one for every 73 inhabitants compared to an EU average of one per 190 and the fleet has grown to over 12,000 machines in 2018 (+1.4 %). At VENDITALIA 2018 over 300 exhibitors took part from 22 countries
in an area of 14,000m2. The event is a showcase of vending machine technologies and vending food products. It will be held at fieramilano Rho for the first time – an avant-garde exhibition centre, able to meet every need.
