A DAY TO REMEMBER: THE VENDIES 2025

T

he Vendies 2025 took place in grand style at London’s iconic Grand Connaught Rooms on Wednesday 4 June, welcoming 200 professionals from across the vending and

automated retail sectors. A total of 28 awards were handed out, recognising the most

impressive innovations, services, and achievements in the industry this year.

Back by popular demand after a standout performance in 2023, comedian Jimmy McGhie returned to host the event—bringing laughs and energy to the stage. He was joined by none other than the National Lottery’s famous ‘voice of the balls,’ Alan Dedicoat, adding an extra layer of polish to proceedings. The Vendies is an annual celebration of the hard work, creativity

and progress shaping the sector. Winners—chosen by a panel of industry experts—were honoured across a broad range of categories, from product innovation to standout collaborations and individual excellence. Following a lively drinks reception and a delicious three-course

meal, Jimmy warmed up the crowd with a crowd-pleasing comedy set before the main event: the awards ceremony. This year’s Vendies introduced several new categories, reflecting the evolving nature of the industry and ensuring that the full spectrum of talent and innovation was recognised. Several red-hot favourite categories also made a return. The event drew to a close with the presentation of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, which this year was awarded to Richard Brinsley of Westomatic Vending Services. (See pg 27) Vending International editor Heather Ramsden praised the industry’s passion and commitment, commenting: “Entries to The Vendies reached record numbers this year, a real reflection of the innovation, drive and dedication that continues to power this sector forward.”
