T
his year saw the launch of the inaugural AMDEA Excellence Awards,
celebrating outstanding achievements across the home appliance sector. Sponsored by British Gas, AEG (Electrolux
Group) and Pacifi ca, the awards were announced during the drinks reception after the recently held,“ Championing Excellence in the Home” conference. After an inspirational conference, it was then time to celebrate and present the AMDEA Excellence Awards. The Winner of the “Contribution to
Communities” award was overwhelmingly, Beko. Highly Commended as a very strong contender, this went to the BSH Home Appliances Group. Pacifi ca walked away winning the “Training and Development” award, providing a very strong submission, clearly standing out in
both quality and scale creating them to be a unanimous choice. Highly credible submissions for “Contribution to the Circular Economy” award was a very diffi cult category for the judging panel to be unanimous as the winner. Beko was eventually selected as the overall winner due to the strength, clarity and scale of its end-to-end circular economy approach. On the heels of the winner, Euronics UK (CIH)
received a Highly commended recognition refl ecting a very strong submission focused on improving product longevity through its strong take up with its retailers and its recycling partner. The CIH results were very impressive and well deserve its commendation. Commenting on the awards, AMDEA CEO,
