our control as well as positively looking forward to future developments in products, and services, including the increasing demand for product longevity, repair and recycling. The issue of skilled staff shortages is also a major issue to attract all ages of people into our industry. My long discussion with Maggie Philbin, CEO of TEENTECH of which will be printed at a later date, airs the diffi culties faced yet also provides solutions for young people. Around the corner we have the annual IER

Awards. The judging was intense and not easy for the judging panel. The IER team would therefore like to take another opportunity to say, THANK YOU, to its judging panel for their tenacity in thoroughly wading through all the entries. It must also be mentioned that after such a thorough amount of research and rigorous judging, all the fi nalists are deserving winners in their own rights by reaching this fi nal stage, so WELL DONE. Finally, on behalf of the IER team, we look

forward to seeing you on the 3 July in London. All the very best for now,

Stuart Hopwood, IER Managing Editor 9 30
