eatrae Sadia has shortlisted two finalists for its inaugural Design Awards, with a

prize of £10,000 up for grabs. The electric heating and hot water brand launched the awards last year, to encourage more young people into the industry in response to the current skills gap. Jennifer Wong, from Brunel University, and

Exeter University’s Montgomery Cooke presented their problem-solving electric water heating product designs to a panel of judges on July 27, with the overall winner expected to be announced as we went to press. Richard Newman, Senior Product Manager at Heatrae Sadia, said: “The standard of entries for our first ever Heatrae Sadia Design Awards was extremely high. Both Jennifer and Montgomery have shown that they are extremely talented designers who have a promising future within the industry.”
