Jardins Réunis and Cheminant have installed Philips GreenPower LED toplighting and Philips GreenPower LED interlighting in their new cucumber greenhouses in the Nantes region of France.


The companies are expecting extraordinary


results; increased production, naturally, but the LEDs also enable growers to increase light levels without also increasing heat. The Philips LEDs have the right spectrum for cucumber growth – the plants use this colour spectrum for optimal photosynthesis, resulting in greater production of a high-quality crop. It just goes to show how versatile the industry we work in is. So, we might be steadily moving out of winter
