LEW Electrical Distributors opens Stockton branch S
tockton has become the home of LEW Electrical Distributors 16th branch. Opening up from 17 October, it is led by Graham Cousins and Mike Waggott who have a wealth of experience and expertise in the local area. This new branch has already created new jobs, in the warehouse and on the trade counter so this is a really exciting time for the area. New national sales manager for Spelsberg
TL, one of the leading apprenticeship providers in the building services engineering sector in England and Wales, has recently opened five new training centres.
All five of the new JTL centres are now actively recruiting apprentices at locations in Hull, Worthing, Eastbourne, Norwich and Telford. All sites deliver JTL apprenticeships in electrical engineering with the sites in Hull and Norwich also offering apprenticeships in plumbing and heating.
JTL works with employers to provide the training to support their apprentices with off-the-job learning and the knowledge elements of their apprenticeship programme, including both classroom and practical workshop learning, as well as monitoring and assessing apprentices in the workplace. JTL also supports the
apprenticeship process in matching learners with a local employer, providing a dedicated training officer and supplying each learner with a free toolkit and study books.

● Scolmore announced that it has achieved IHEEM Company Affiliate Member status (Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management).
● Elmbridge Community Eco Hub, which provides a multi-functional safe space and range of community minded activities, was the winner of the Ansell Lighting Shine A Light campaign and will receive a lighting installation prize worth up to £5k.
● Smart Buildings Show 2022 had a 40% increase in attendance, with the theatres busy from when the exhibition first opened its door. Presentations from the show are now available online.
● City & Guilds, the global skills development organisation, announced the acquisition of Trade Skills 4U, one of the UK’’s leading training providers for electrical engineering, from private equity firm Palatine.
● Intelliconnect (Europe) Ltd, has unveiled a new senior management team following its recent acquisition by Trexon Global. Gareth Phillips is now managing director and Steve Groves takes the role of sales and marketing director.

ndustrial enclosures manufacturer Spelsberg UK has strengthened its customer support with a new national sales manager.
Clare McCusker, previously Spelsberg UK’s area sales manager for the East of England, steps up to the role to manage the company’s UK sales operations. The move is part of Spelsberg’s increasing commitment to the UK market and continual expansion to support OEMs, end users, as well as the distribution market.
The role comprises enclosure specification and design support for OEM designers as well as end users. Spelsberg increases support to this market through its in-house enclosure design and customisation team, including full CNC machining capabilities. Spelsberg UK’s Telford headquarters also carries high-volume stock to support fast enclosure availability. Clare has a strong career background in industrial applications, working for Schneider Electric and Weidmuller before joining Spelsberg in 2011. During Clare’s 11 years specifying industrial enclosures for the UK market, she has developed many key accounts at Spelsberg and will retain direct support for some customers as she transitions to her new role.
