EW Awards
The awards kicked off with Best Accessories Brand, which was won by Selectric. Peter Bonnington commented: “The Electrical Wholesaler 2022 Awards was a great ceremony to represent an amazing industry. It was a privilege to be involved and an absolute honour to win. We are incredibly grateful to all our clients that have testified on our behalf.”
This was followed by Wholesaler of the Year, which went to Amble Electrical Distributors. Mark Everitt said: “We were so happy to have won this award as an independent competing against the big nationals, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and their focus on giving great customer service.”
Best Heating Brand was taken home by Heat Mat Limited. Amanda Salmon told EW:
“Heat Mat are delighted to win the EW Awards heating category and thank all of our distributors who voted for us.”
The Industry Initiative Award was won by Trimble Luckins and NG15 Limited, who commented: “We are particularly proud because the EW Awards were decided by votes, meaning our customers have recognised the hard work, effort and innovation that we are putting into improving the quality of product data for delivery and consumption across our industry sector. We would like to thank the EW Awards team for a superb event and send our congratulations to the other ‘highly commended companies’ and the winners.”
This year’s Wholesaler of the Year (6-25 branches) was won by Lew Electrical, who commented: “The Electrical Wholesale awards are what we strive to be when we talk about success. It’s the third year in a row we’ve been given the title of Best Wholesaler for our category, and shows how we are delivering our industry leading customer experience. We want to thank both anyone that voted for us, and the panel for their decision.”
Di-Log won Best Safety/Security Brand for its CombiVolt Safe Isolation Range and LOTO Kits. David Sweetman, group director of marketing, told EW: “The entire team at Di-LOG are honoured to have won, not only in 2022 but for the past three consecutive years. Our commitment to electrical safety is paramount. This award will give us an opportunity to publicly promote all life-saving ‘Safe Isolation’ equipment to our distribution network, encouraging them to help us make our industry a safer place.”
Kew Electrical took home a hatrick, winning the trophies for Best Training Provider, Best Individual Branch (awarded to the Brighton branch) and Best Customer Service: Wholesaler. The company commented:
“We were delighted to be shortlisted again and take home not one, but three awards, all destined for our trophy cabinet at KEW HQ in Brighton. A huge well done to Nick Kerly and the team at KEW Brighton!”
