Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags celebrates 100 editions in 2024

E

xpo Riva Schuh & Gardabags will be celebrating its 100th birthday in 2024, which means the famous exhibition has been around for 50 years. Organisers have said the milestone will be celebrated all throughout 2024 and involve the entire Riva del Garda area; it will be an opportunity to maintain and strengthen the principles that have always guided the show, they said. The new marketing campaign and, in particular, the celebration logo for the 100th edition, were carefully designed and developed with attention to detail. The two overlapping

circles represent the union and overlapping of the fair’s two souls: that of Expo Riva Schuh and that of Gardabags.

The exhibition highlights the value of bringing together in a single event two markets so vital for fashion (footwear and bags) through an original and modern multi-subject campaign. To celebrate the pairing of footwear and accessories, a concept was developed that could be expressed in a striking image and a simple, straightforward message: ‘Bringing Trends Together’.

The rainbow colours that have always

distinguished the Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags logo have been kept, symbolising the show’s commitment to representing all the flags of the world and stressing the international nature of the event.  Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags will take place on 13 to 16 January 2024 and 15 to 18 June 2024.

ÖGL, HASSIA and GANTER have introduced its new brand representatives for the UK and Ireland – Maria and John Feeney. The pair have taken over the responsibility for customers in these two countries. This comes after Carl Robinson said goodbye to the brands to spend more time with his family. Breuer Walter, Global Sales Director at HÖGL, said: “We would like to use this opportunity to express a big thank you to Carl for his great work, unlimited engagement and the trusty cooperation we had over years.”

He added: “With Maria and John, we remain

constant in our customer care as they have a very good relation to Carl and we can count on his support at the beginning of their new task. We are sure that Maria and John will continue the very good partnership of HÖGL, HASSIA and GANTER and their customers, and that they will bring the needed enthusiasm that is needed in these challenging times.

“Their many years of experience in selling and customer care make them sought-after and competent retail advisors.”

Maria and John will be contacting footwear retailers directly in the coming weeks in order to launch the new business relationship.

Mr Paver will return to Ukraine next month to deliver evacuation stretchers and much needed

water purification tablets. More information about the mission and details on how to donate can be found here.

Mr Paver said: “Every penny donated to our Ukraine fundraiser is spent on medicines and lifesaving supplies at wholesale prices; no expenses, no overheads. We’re proud to be making a difference on the front line in Ukraine with the recent deployment of a field hospital, however more supplies are desperately which is why we’re continuing our fundraising efforts to raise money for evacuation stretchers and water purification tablets”.
